I have been skiing for years but resisted using helmets (thought they would be a pain). I thought I would try one this year for my trip to WinterPark,CO. I thought it was great! It is so light I never noticed it was there. I found no noticable restrctions to visibility or mobility. Doubt I will ever ski again without it.

the ear flaps fit a bit snugly which leads to sore ears at the end of the day. The boa in the back loosens on it's own (not sure if it is just the lock that is broken on it)

Unintentional "peace sign"

It was anything but peaceful up there. The empty glove pressed to my chest made a style statement I hadn't expected. I held the glove to my chest to keep it from getting blown away. The wind was ripping (50 mph gusts) on top of Tuckerman's Ravine as I shot this self portrait with the summit in the background.

Fits really well with my Oakley Crowbars - the brim and adjustable vents are a huge plus.

This helmet fits more snugly than the same sized Giro helmet. I also like the sizing system it is easy to use and strong. Do we really need 2 controls for the vent how about just one for all of them?

The helmet in fit and design rocks. The vents are what really stand out, the ability to regulate temperature in various conditions. Survivability is a word that comes to mind as I have smacked my noodle more times than I want to count and this thing keeps me riding. Nothing is more important than confidence when your screaming down your favorite run. I have it in spades with this quality product from Smith.

I have had a number of helmets over the years and this is hands down my favorite. It is very comfortable and has a ton of vents to keep your head from overheating. I have the skullcandy speakers in mine and they work great and it doesn't change the fit/comfort at all. I love having the brim and I think it adds even extra protection for your goggles from those low-hanging branches when you get into the trees.

Used it in Jackson Hole. 1st helmet for my husband, and he had no complaints. I noticed that his goggle slipped over a few times, but he thought it was all good.

Got a chance to wear my variant brim out for the first time a few days ago. WOW!! What a great helmet. Fit is great. For everyone out there wondering about size, I wear a 7 1/4" fitted hat and Large fits me very well and would be able to fit a larger or a smaller head as well with the level of adjustability. What I'm saying is that I think I am right about in the middle as far as adjustments go. All that being said, the helmet was great. It was about 25 degrees when the sun was out and around 15 or so after the sun went down and there was no need to wear a hat or any kind of head covering underneath. Kept my head nice and warm throughout the ride. Goggles never even thought of fogging up. Now onto the customization: There are headphone slots in the earpieces for you to insert headphone drivers into. A really neat idea... Sadly the market for this kind of product kind of sucks right now. It seems like the only real offering is from skullcandy and I have never been a big fan of the sound quality of their products. With that n mind I remembered that I had a few sets of broken Technics DJ headphones laying around with the drivers still perfectly in tact. Fast forward a week and a bit of soldering later and I now have the sweetest sounding helmet around. Worked so well I made a second set for my brothers variant brim. Bottom line is I loved the helmet before and now I wear it around the house as well listening to my phone. Great job Smith!!

During a recent crash, I caught an edge...

During a recent crash, I caught an edge and hit the back of my head VERY hard on an especially icy run. I did not lose consciousness, but I do not remember how I got down to my car. The next day, I had a headache and I got sick a couple of times. Fortunately, I was wearing this helmet which prevented a worse injury. I checked the helmet a couple of days later and the shell was lose from the liner so it was a pretty hard impact. Does Smith have some sort of replacement program or do I need to just purchase a new helmet?

I have the white brim variant and absolutely love it. It fits well with my Oakley Splice goggles with no gap for brain freeze. I also added the skull candy ear phones which zip right into the stock helmet which is an added plus. On cold days close the vents with an easy slide button functionality. On the warm corn snow days let that puppy breathe by sliding the vents open and the numerous vents really cool off once you start riding. The size adjust in a nice feature as well.

Warm and Comfy!

I've owned this helmet for about 5 years now and it's fantastic! Best fit/comfort of anything I've had so far and the vents work great.

Over time the brim portion has come a bit loose so it's not on there quite as sturdy but that was from hauling the helmet in my boot bag over many day trips and travel trips. I'm retiring it this year and picked up a new one ... same on different colour! The new ones have a nicer retention system which is a dial, mine was a pinch together system ...

Overall a kicka$$ helmet!

Great Fit and Comfort
