I have this jacket and would say it tolerates light rain/snow reasonably well for a wool jacket. That being said if you can avoid it I would recommend doing so and if you intend to use it in a heavy rain -- it's not going to be a good jacket for you. However, if just by chance you get caught in a good storm a quick trip to the dry cleaners will be necessary to return it to a wearable state.

It's wool! Sheep get caught in the rain all the time. That said, it isn't waterproof. The dry cleaner should be unnecessary. Lay it flat to dry. If you need to wash it, it is machine-washable, gentle setting and lay flat to dry.

Great at 40 or 14

I have worn this jacket comfortably down in the teens and up to about 40 and comfortable at both temps! Doesn't break the wind, but comfortable enough in the teens to make a trip from the parking lot to work. We have been in single digits this last week and have worn it under a hard shell jacket with great success. Casual enough to wear with a pair of jeans, yet sleek enough to wear to work/church with business casual.
I normally wear a XL Regular sleeve, and found the sleeves on this jacket to be a little long. I cuffed them under once.
