Perfect fit, good design & quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This is my first pair of running toe socks and SmartWool did not disappoint. For my size 7 women's foot I bought a size small. They were snug at first but after one wear they are perfect. The toes form well to my foot and I love the close fit for long runs. The quality seems on par with other SmartWool socks; good stitching and materials. Happy customer, will repeat!

Too small, poor design quality

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I've had many pairs of Smartwool socks over the years, size M, and was thrilled to find such an awesome color in toe socks ... Arctic Blue.

Unfortunately, they are very, very cheaply designed, with long clunky toe pockets compared to the shaped toes I'm used to from Smartwool. Additionally, they are sized too small. For these to work, I would need to size up to a L. And they feel too short at the anklebone ... which may or may not reflect the too small a size.

As such, I am returning these. I am unsure whether to size up or consider the Mini PhD or look at another brand.

It's like you're not even wearing any

Super thin and with toes isolated (not squeezed together like normal socks) it almost feels like you're not even wearing socks. These are much thinner than the standard Injinji or older smart wool toe socks. Don't be fooled by their looks, they fit. I use size large for size 9.5-10 foot.

Surprisingly comfy liner sock

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought these to test out for some very cold weather biking (Iditarod) and have been wearing them around the Alps for ski touring and biking. They are a bit funky to put on, but they feel normal once you've got them on. Nice wicking. I'll let you know how they wear in a few weeks.

Awesome socks for long runs!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

From my first pair of Injinjis, I was hooked on toe socks. I wear them for any runs longer than 10 miles. They keep your feet from overheating and prevent blisters from forming between your toes. :) I've got enough pairs of toe socks now that I wear them on almost all my runs! These socks in specific are thin, lightweight, and are well fitting. They are also tall enough at the heel so they go just above the back of your shoe to prevent rubbing, but still low cut. These are great socks!
