Description

Night skiing, anyone?

Unless you've completely blocked it from your memory, you might remember your very first time on skis and the way you felt when you withdrew your pasty, clammy foot from a wet, frozen bunched-up cotton sock. The Smartwool PhD Ski Ultra Light Sock gives you maximum warmth without the bulk and without that horrible clammy wet-cotton feeling you've hopefully managed to erase from your mind.

  • Merino wool blended with nylon and elastane offers exceptional temperature control, flexibility, and support
  • Mernio wool's natural antimicrobial properties keep these socks fresh even if you skip a few washings
  • Merino wool regulates temperature so your body wastes less energy trying to keep you warm or cool
  • ReliaWool tech adds comfort and durability to high-impact areas
  • Mesh ventilation zones get rid of moist, overheated air
  • SmartWool's 4 Degree Elite Fit System uses two elastics for extra flex and compression
  • Compression tech helps energize your feet and prevent swelling

... for ski boots, period. Comfortable, lightweight, warm in most conditions and the performance is great, too.

After years of personal use with Smartwools, I finally got the guy some Smartwool ski socks, and he loves them. Again, super comfortable, lightweight, and keeping your feet as happy as it is possible when sitting all day in ski boots. Would definitely recommend these!

However these have a little more padding than the Point6 Ultralight. the P6 is the best in the category IMHO.

Needed ultra thin socks for my ski boots and these fit the bill.

I love these socks so much i bought 2 more pairs. My feet fit pretty snug in my boots so a thin sock was what i needed. I highly reccomend these.

these are comfortable and I love how low-profile they are. great for skiing. only thing is if your feet get cold and its a cold day I would wear something warmer

I went down a size in ski boots and the shop suggested I try these socks since they're so thin. I'm glad I did! These socks are AWESOME for skiing, I love the compression and will be buying at least two more pairs for this season. My feet do get kind cold so I wouldn't say they're the warmest socks, but I am a diabetic so that could be the reason for the cold feet...

If you like to crank your ski boots down before each run, this sock gives you excellent feel and control on the hill without sacrificing warmth. Not sure where the warmth comes from but its there. I'm a size 13 shoe, ski a 29.5 boot, and I prefer the Large over the XL.

I like these. I don't use them for really cold things or in the snow, but they're great for everyday stuff. I have thicker Smartwool socks for snow activities. These might be fine in the snow though, I just haven't tried. I really like them though!

I picked up a pair of these last season and ended up with 10 more. Recently found them on sale for 10 bucks a pair and loaded up! Use them for skiing. they kick ass! Great padding where its needed!

I swear by smartwool i wont buy anything else. However this is my first pair of ultra lights and i was disappointed. i wore them 3 days hiking and they tore. I know they are made for skiing but i have never had this issue with the light or medium cushion socks. Maybe i got a shoddy pair but i think ill be sticking with some thicker pairs from now on.

try the Point 6 Ultralights. They're bomb proof, although not as soft.
