Great Ski Socks

I get on the hill over a hundred days a year, and I ski these everyday. They are a great fit, well padded and warm. I rotate through two pairs, but even with all the use and washings, they have worn extremely well. Excellent ski sock choice.

These are called ski socks, but they are useful for just about any winter activity. Heck, I even wear them during other seasons in a pinch. They are very comfortable and the extra cushioning is in just the right spots. Well done, Smartwool!

These socks are very comfy and the padding is put in the right spots. It is warm and the sock compresses to my foot keeping from sliding around while I ski. Great sock, worth buying!
Great sock!

SmartWool ski socks are padded in all the right places while leaving thinner spots for bending and articulation in your boots. I never head to the hill without these on my feet. Perfect amount of plushness on the shin and foot, while still staying tough around the ankles without too much bulk.
Worth every penny!

Nothing beats merino wool for socks. They wick quickly and keep my feet warm and dry. These socks are pretty thick, so you may want to consider the ultra light or light weight SmartWool socks instead if you don't need the additional warmth.

I have several different brands of merino wool socks & these are the best. I only wear merino for skiing and like other reviewers I find myself wearing these for other activities.
They are a medium thickness and work in my race fit boots fine. I have goten to the point that I only replenish my ski socks with these.
wonderful

Comfortable, padded in just the right places, and super warm! I've worn these while winter hiking too - even after 6 miles and plenty of sweat later, not even a trace of funk!
My favorite socks

These are the only ski socks I buy. They are very comfortable and they keep you nice and warm. I got a few pairs because I find myself wearing them everyday! I highly recommend these if you are looking for a ski or boarding sock.

I wear these at work as a lifty and for skiing. Keeps your feet warm no matter what conditions, even when your feet are sweating like crazy. Great padding in all the critical spots and it clings to your leg so no sagging.

Don't ever buy a ski sock that is not made from merino wool. These will work great for any skier, there is a bit of added padding in the shins of the socks that will help out on cutting down on shin bang. Overall a very warm, functional sock!
As expected, LOVE these socks!

I almost exclusively wear merino socks now. I absolutely can't stand the scratchy feel of cotton anymore.
These are great socks. They compress your foot for added support which is great, and have thick padding on the front of the shin for extra comfort against ski boots.
Difference between the "ski" socks and "snowboard" socks is just the padding. Snowboard socks have the padding distributed throughout you shin/calf, but the ski socks will just have it on the shin.
There is no real difference, and I use which ever sock for either activity and they will still be great
