Perfect for cold weather workouts

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size
  • Height: 5'3"
    Weight: 155 lbs
    Size Purchased: Medium

I bought this for cycling in the cold weather, because I perspire. It can be 20 degrees, and I'm gonna sweat. And then you freeze as soon as you stop. This smartwool bra did the BEST job of any of the countless sports bras I've been through over the years at wicking a lot of that moisture away. I don't overheat while working out outdoors and I don't freeze when I stop. It was too warm for me to wear to an indoors class, but now I know. I'm a merino wool convert.

Comfortable moderate support

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small
  • Height: 5'5"
    Weight: 135 lbs
    Size Purchased: Large

I'm a 34 C/D and sized up to the large for a comfortable fit with minimal support. A medium probably would have worked well for higher impact stuff, but since I'm using this for low impact activities, the large works great. Some nice little fabric features makes this bra slightly more interesting, but at its core it's a simple merino/spandex racer back, sans pads. It's a new go-to for biking, hiking, yoga and skiing. Many uses before it shows any signs of needing a wash. Love the hibiscus heather pink!

Good fit

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size
  • Height: 5'6"
    Weight: 130 lbs
    Size Purchased: Small

I wear a 34C and the small is a good fit. I use it for running and it works well, stays in place, and doesn't smell afterwards. Love it.

Awesome, runs small

I've never understood why it's so hard to find a fleece or merino sportsbra, because they are the bomb for skiing, snowshoeing, and any other winter sport, whether you do them aggressively enough to sweat or no. SmartWool's is good because the exterior layer is a poly fabric that keeps the wool inner layer from stretching out quickly. Fit: rides a bit high--that is, the band is juuuust low enough to stay put (and friends who got it confirm this). Size UP. By Smartwool's chart, I'm either an S or M (34B) but I needed an M, maybe because of big shoulders. But petite friends who are S or M by the chart (34A) also needed M. Main reason for sizing up is for comfort of straps around armpits and security of the band not riding up. I just wore it for a week and a half straight and now it's finally a bit stretched out. No smell, though. :-) It would be nice if they would go back to making more colors. I am so tired of default black.
