Awesome socks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are amazing. They are the only sock thin enough to fit in my new balance minimus shoes ( since i like the barefoot runners on the snug side) and the wool keeps your feet dry! I won't run in anything else anymore. They also last forever, even if you put them in the dryer by accident.

run vs cyle

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought both the PhD Running Ultra Light Micro and the PhD Cycle Ultra Light Micro Sock and they seems exactly the same to me. Great socks - I was just hoping for a lower cut in the running style, but both are truly a "thin" performance sock. Love SmartWool!

Love the PhD ultralight running socks!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've put these things through a lot, mainly because they are now my go-to for all activities, even outside of running. They hug your foot, keep them warm, but also allow your feet to breathe appropriately.

Love these socks!

I'm a walker; my daughter is a runner. I bought these socks for each of us. We love them! Fit is perfect, support is noticeable, they breathe, they are not too bulky...I'm happy.

All I wear

I've been running for about two years now, and since starting I've had a couple different brands of socks (swiftwick/features/etc...). I've always sworn by smartwool for hiking, but I can now say they're the BEST brand of running socks I've ever had! I would recommend these to anyone. They breath well, keep your feet dry (which is a huge benefit when you're training for long races/breaking in a new pair of shoes), and they have the perfect amount of compression. They rock!

Marathon Running Mom LOVES These!

I bought these for my marathon running mom as these are her favorites! She's been running for 30+ years (marathoning for the last 9) and run 12 marathons. These are by far her favorites & with a running record like that, I'll take her word for it!

too thin

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these to run, and have been using hem for a good 6 months. They are good looking and I like the feel of how my arch is wrapped but they are too thin overall to give a good protection on the toes during longer runs. They wash well and can be used for shorter workout, so still a good 3 stars:)

sock

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

very thin sock - I wanted something with some padding.
