    Love these socks!

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Great fit on these: They mold to your foot! With the expected Smart Wool quality. Smart wool socks are an investment: Spend the money now and four years from now you'll be bragging to your friends how your socks are four years old and still rocking!

Sz 13 shoe and XL is perfect size.

    My wife loves smartwool socks

Not just the fact that they last a long time, but the fact that they are so soft and comfortable is another reason why we can't pass them up. If you want a great sock that will keep your feet nice and cool these are it!

    Happy Feet!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These are the best feeling socks I have ever had. My feet feel hugged, which is lovely. I am a fast and short runner, so blistering is not a frequent issue for me. However, I can tell when my socks slide around my foot. These stay completely in place. I currently have shoes that a little to big for me (I know, I should fix that asap), so there is a fair amount of movement when I run. These socks have stayed right in place, on my foot.

    Dirty white sock

I got the "silver" colored sock and don't let the picture fool you. The sock looks like at old, dirty, washed-with-the-dark-load sock. Other than that realize that these are very thin socks, not that that's bad, but I didn't realize it until I put them on. Might be a little thinner than I prefer, and way thinner than I am use to. Not a bad sock though, but that's obvious when it's smart wool.

    Amazing socks

One can never have enough socks. Especially socks like these. I just bought 4 pairs for myself for when I work my second job. I work in a restaurant and I am constantly moving around. I wanted something thin that compressed and also moisture wicking. Smartwool is a go-to brand for me whether it be a base layer or a quality pair of socks they always get the job done and you can be sure the quality of the product is excellent because it lasts a long time.

    Sock it to me

Gifted these to my runner momma for mother's day. She absolutely loves SmartWool socks and wears them every day. Having worn merino wool socks before, I can attest to the effectiveness and superiority over cotton socks. Cotton socks wreck my feet over time, balling up and causing my feet to callous and blister. Not really an issue here. They keep your feet dry(er) and more comfortable. A must have if you're planning on doing anything active but still great feeling on the feet for casual use as well. Contours the foot nicely and provides plenty of ventilation.

Sock it up and pay the price for these! (see what I did there) I like super lightweight socks with no cushion & these hold up to long runs, hikes or even mountain bike rides. The colors get a little crazytown but I'll wear anything that keeps my feet happy. I wear a size 6 women's shoe & the small fit my feet fine.

I would like to take the last 5 seconds of my review to straight up lie to you and say that the red and yellow colors will make you run faster.

    Barely there feel.

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I picked up this anklet in a desperate attempt to replace entirely too-worn (i.e., holes) running shoes. I love the color, but found the sock to be a hair too thin my for preference. Through the mesh on my shoes, I could feel the cold morning air on my toes. It took about 3 miles for my feet to warm up. However, I could see someone who likes low-volume running shoes loving this sock.

    makes running fun!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

too many folks think that running must be an unpleasant experience. "no pain no gain" that's only if you are not running in these socks. they hold your foot well, move moisture so your feet don't get soggy, regulate temperature and just feels good! if you are going to run, the most important thing is your feet right? get these socks and run to your hearts content, your feet will thank you

    Ultra light is right

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs small

These are probably the thinnest socks that I own. They are really comfortable and great on short runs when its hot. They look like they are breaking down faster than other merino socks that I wear. Sizing was a little on the small side for me. I wear at 11.0 and they are a little more snug than I would like. They slide down a little on runs over about 6 miles. Not sure if this would be fixed by sizing up. Overall they are pretty good.

These socks are super comfortable and fit fantastic! They are so thin and do a great job wicking the moisture that after 5 miles I couldn't even tell I had them on. I ordered 3 pairs to start and may have to order a few more! Jackpot!!!

    Great sock!

I love these socks. If only they were cheaper and I could justify buying all smartwool socks for all occasions. These are really light, but so good for running, biking, gym, etc. They're nice and cool, don't get sweaty, and seem pretty durable, which seemed unlikely based on how thin they are. Good product, will be buying more. Size 8, bought medium, fits perfectly, snug.

    SmartWool PhD RULMS Rock!

Blended composition? Fabric drawbacks? Nylon components? 4Degree Elite Fit system? ReliaWool technology? I've never really thought about the value or my enjoyment of all those features, but I do really like these socks. As with all SmartWool products, I'm surprised I'm willing to pay this much, but I do keep coming back for more!

Pic below, taken at cemetery where I run, shows how much sock is visible above shoe.

      SmartWool PhD RULMS Rock!

      Great Running Sock

Smartwool makes a stellar product that does what it claims to. I really like the light feel of these socks and they wick well. However, because they are so light weight, they don't stand up to multiple uses without washing as well as other Smartwools. They wont dry as quickly and they wont stay in place as well.

That being said, for single or two day use, i don't think you can do any better than these.

        So Fresh!

I can hardly express my absolute love for SmartWool socks. I run in minimalist/barefoot shoes and these work perfectly in conjunction with the New Balance Minimuses, not too bulky but keep your feet dry and your shoes from getting too stinky.

Blister free and fresh as can be!

Awesome socks - totally worth it

          • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have multiple pairs of SmartWool socks for good reason, whether for hiking, running, mountain biking or just around town. They fit great and should last a long time (based on my other pairs of SmartWools). The socks are quality, and breathe great. My favorite for outdoor athletics.

Can someone tell me how these compare to the outdoor ultralight smartwools, as in thickness and cushion?
