Happy feet.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've needed to replace my Swiss-cheese running socks for a lot of years now, but haven't done it. The wait is over. I might love these socks. They are the perfect heft for my 8mm drop shoes -- not too heavy and not too light. I like the ankle coverage, and the color rocks. I will be ordering a few more pairs of these socks.

Can't say enough about these

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are my favorite all around sock. I wear them for everything and have always been happy with them. They wick incredibly well and do not stretch and lose their shape like many other wool socks I have tried.

A little thick, but good

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I picked these up recently, and for summer use, they're a bit too thick for my taste. They're really nice socks, but more suited to spring/fall activities. The PhD Ultra Light socks are a lot better suited to summer running, biking, hiking, etc. than these, in my opinion. They fit well, I wear a size 8 and got the medium. Perfect. Don't pill, really comfy.

Oh So Comfy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Love these socks for running and working out. I like that they are ankle high. The lower socks seem to allow sweat to get in my shoe. These keep them nice and dry. Nice and soft and never wet after a hot day of running. Love them!

New To Smartwool

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are my favorite of my recent Smartwool purchases. They stay in place during biking or hiking, never bunch and keep my feet comfy and not sweaty like cheap socks. They are still a bit on the thick side, so go for ultralight if you want less cushion.

Not that Light, but still awesome

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the perfect late season or cool weather sock. I just wore these at a race in 40 degree temps, rain and mud and my feet were nice and toasty (as much as they could've been).

I wouldn't classify these a "Light" sock...they're still pretty bulky in the toe and heel. Make sure you have the room. If you're looking for a really light sock, I'd go with the Ultra Light Mini.
