I have the size small which is slightly too big for me. I wear a women's 6.5. The women's version fits much better. Otherwise, the material is perfect for trail running.

These are the best running socks, in my opinion. They are pretty much the only socks I wear if I am wearing shoes that require socks. My husband agrees. The cushioning is just right, the color combinations are great, and they seem to last longer than other, cheaper socks. We have them in pretty much every color. SmartWool knows socks for sure!
Must have socks!!!

This is the best running sock I've ever owned. They keep your feet dry and don't bunch up. I can wear these things everyday for over a week and they still don't smell! That's as long as my wife will let me go before she throws them in the wash. Very comfortable and just the right thickness. I'm ordering a second pair!

I discovered merino socks after having worn other merino clothing for over a year. I wish I had found them earlier! I wear them for everything; Running. Hiking. Working out. They keep my feet so dry that I have never had the blisters and rough spots I am normally plagued with when I wear other (read:cotton/polyester) socks. I highly recommend these socks.
Best Socks Ever!!!

I've had these socks for several weeks now and I totally love them. I read some reviews before purchasing and everything was true! I wore these 6 or 7 days straight...either running (4 -6 miles) or working out each day, and they did not smell at all. AMAZING!!! On top of that they are very comfortable and moisture gets wicked away extremely efficiently so no slippage in your shoe. GREAT SOCKS!! I will be buying more.
As always from SmartWool, great socks!

I love Smart Wool, and I love these socks! Comfortable, stay in place, provide a small amount of padding. I've worn them for hiking, walking, working out, and just around. They are breathable and keep my feet warm on the bare floor if I need a bit of covering, yet stay cool in my hiking shoes and sneakers as well. They do not fall into the 'ultralight' category however, in my opinion. Maybe 'light'. Still love them though! Also love Backcountry...great service, FAST and free delivery, easy returns.

I'm a big Smart Wool fan, and these socks don't disappoint. Most people think that wool would get hot and make running miserable, but these socks are a dream to run in. This fit is great and they have plenty of padding.

I use these socks mostly for running and hiking but they are comfortable enough that you can use them for whatever. And it is true what everyone says, they do last about a solid week before they start to smell. My only problem is that I now refuse to wear anything except wool on my feet.
Great trail socks!

I wore a pair of these for the entire 2010 Cascade Crest 100 and never took off my shoes or socks for the whole run and my feet were in great shape at the end. Highly recommended!

If you haven't tried SmartWool socks then you don't get it. Once you wear these you will not wear a cotton sock again...bottom line. Fit, comfort, durability, its all there.

What can I say! It's smartwool!! I've had the socks in water, mud, hot, cold...you name it. The socks rock for a running sock. They hold well in all conditions, wick moisture away, comfortable, and durable. Definitely need to try in you haven't.
All around...heaven!

I normally wear Coolmax Thor-lo's for running, but I bought some racing shoes and needed a slightly thinner sock than the Thor-lo's. I decided to try these, and they worked out great. These socks stay in place when running, and they keep my feet dry and comfortable. They wash up nicely, although I do recommend air drying them (and wool socks in general).

I own too many pairs of these socks. I use them for trail running, mountain biking, hiking, winter running, and tennis. They are comfortable, they don't slip down, they dry quickly and they look sexy.

These socks changed the way I thought about socks (as in I never had before).
Super soft, durable, smell resisting, arch-supporting, circulation promoting, multi-day wearing powerhouses.
Its amazing how well your foot temperature is regulated by wool. They are a little warmer than standard socks when just standing, but when activity strikes, there is no contest in their performance.

We got these socks as part of a survival plan for Disney World. We did lots of walking in the hot Florida sun (90+ degrees daily) on black concrete and were hoping not to end up with tons of blisters during the course of our trip. The socks were very comfy, not too hot, and not a blister could be found on any of our feet. Thumbs up!

I have worn the Smartwool Adrenaline socks for a couple years for hiking, work, casual, and dress. They outlast any other socks I've had. The thing I like most about Smartwool is that your feet stay dry because of the wicking action of wool. They also feel cooler. I bought this sock, Smartwool PhD Running Light Micro Sock, after putting on my old cotton micro socks and having my feet feel wet and sweaty. I can't go back to regular socks.

Picked up running about a year ago and got my first pair of smartwool socks as a gift. After countless races and miles and miles of training runs, these are by far the best socks a runner could ask for. Wonderful cushioning and great for keeping your feet cool and dry.
