  • 4Degree Elite Fit system employs ankle, instep, and arch elastic bands for a snug fit, support, and circulation
  • ReliaWool tech on the bottom of the sock combines high-density impact zones along the ball and heel for long-lasting protection
  • Mesh zones allow heat and moisture to escape quickly to promote faster drying to reduce swamp foot
  • Virtually seamless toe construction limits irritation and chafing

They make me want to love socks

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I generally do not enjoy socks very much- they feel restrictive and make my feet uncomfortable. But these are SO much different! They are super comfortable for all day use, and they wick moisture very well. Plus they don't stink. I wear them with casual boots, or with hiking/running shoes and I love them all the same. Hands down would recommend these, I could wear them every day!

Great socks!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: True to size

If you're considering a wool sock, you probably already understand the benefits. This is what you'd expect from a quality merino blend. Nice and thin to wick moisture and dry quickly. Great for running, hiking, or everyday wear.

Rockin' pink socks!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These are my all time favorite socks. I use them for running, cycling, hiking and every day use. They are cool, comfy and kept my toes from getting blisters through 25 mile a day hikes across the Camino de Santiago.

Nice and thin

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Great for hard workouts or warm summer day hikes. I loved my boyfriends socks so much that I had to buy my own. And so glad I did!

Great socks

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought these for my other half, she absolutely loved them. Wore them on a nice hike up angels landing and they kept her blister free and stayed cool throughout.

Sizing off for me

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I typically wear size 5.5/6.0 US shoes and I got the size SM in these micro socks. The size SM is just a tiny too big for my feet. If I don't slip my foot in my shoe correctly then I can feel the extra material which can be annoying. Besides the fit, I love these socks. Smartwool quailty, very durable socks and they will last you. This are super breathable and don't hold odor, I was suprised at how fast these socks dried since they are only about half merino wool.

good quality, poor sizing

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: Runs large

Smartwool's size chart has the womens medium socks fitting a 7-9.5 womens shoe size. Got these for my wife who's usually an 8 or 8.5 and the medium was loose to the point that it bunched up behind the heel. The socks seem like they'll hold up really well and be really comfortable in the right size but just plan on sizing them smaller than smartwool's chart indicates.

worth every penny

I purchased these for my trip to Maine; very light weight and comfortable w/ my Ahnu Montara lightweight boots, and even with my Keen H2s when my feet got a little cold paddling. They hold up well. Highly recommend.

Improved design

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Some of the same great things are still there about this version of Smartwool's sock compared to earlier versions- anti-stink wool, fun colors, nice and fitted- but I just wanted to comment that the new toe box, which is tapered and not square, is much better. I wear size 7.5-7 women's and size M is great for me. I wear these running and also for everyday wear. It takes a couple wears before you have to wash them.
