This might be my new favorite sock! Super comfy and very high quality. They are low profile, but stay tightly around your ankle, as they don't slip down. Looking for a low cut sock? Get these.

These socks are awesome. I own over 10 pairs in different colors. They are thin and breathable, but have extra wool cushion on the heel and balls of the feet, as well as around the top of the sock at the ankle. I bought them to wear hiking & backpacking, but now I wear them pretty much every day. I run marathons and wear them on my long runs, as well as to work every day. I walk around a lot at my job and need good shoes and socks. These do the trick!

I hiked 18 miles (in Chicago) as a trial for a planned hiking trip in New Zealand (Milford Trek) which spans 33 miles over 5 days. I felt very comfortable with these socks; you will want a sock liner to use with these type of wool socks, planning to use these with Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX shoes and the longer cousins of these type of smartwool socks with a pair of North Face Dhaulagiri II GTX boots which I simply love and wish they were still on the market!
