Too Small for regular use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I returned it. Way too tight, definetely not for your casual ski day or tour. Would best be used on extremely cold days or for those with small heads that run really cold.

Look cool while cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't live in the coldest climate so I can't speak on the function of this piece. But as far as fashion is concerned you will look nice and warm. Nice fit , thin and easy to pack.

I would try something that comes in different sizes
I use this Balaclava for skiing because my old polar fleece one wouldn't stay up on my nose this one doesn't do that ether and it's not as warm as the polar fleece. They only make a one size fits all which is never true. I think if it were a little smaller it would work better for me. Being Smartwool it's great quality and I will still use it just not a 5 Star for me.

I use my balaclava when I go out walking, etc in the winter. I tend to get sinus infections & it really helps keep my head warm & protects from breathing in the cold damp air.

Perfect for cyclists
I wear this when riding a bike in the cold. It is very lightweight, keeps my noggin insulated, and works well with a bike helmet.

My second one!
A little itchy the first time I wore it, unlike the solid black one I already own, but a couple of washes seemed to take care of it. Fits well, warm without being bulky, and great as a face covering during our current social distancing.

I recommend this product
