poor durability

these worked well until i started wearing Levi's. after a few days in jeans the top part (spandex) started to detach from the bottom part (wool). i had three pairs and it happened to all three of them after the same amount of time in jeans

poor durability

This happened to me as well. Very disappointed since they fit and feel great.

Mixed opinion

I bought three pair, this smartwool, an ex-officio, and an apterx (or something like that) to try out prior to a trip to the BWCAW for a week. This one was the most comfortable and cool by a good margin so I brought it and intended to make it my main undergarment with the apterx as a backup when this one was drying from being rinsed out. Things worked well, loved these briefs. Then I slipped and got my butt soaked. I decided to strip them off and do the laundry (rinse in lake water and dry off). When trying to strip them off, my thumb went right through the fabric on my cheek. I was bummed. I kept using them during the week - still quite comfortable on the long portages and at other times, but now they're holey. I recommend these, but caution that they seem to be quite fragile when wet.

Favorite Boxer

These microweight boxers have quickly become my favorite boxers to wear. They never get wet, they dont stink and they are ridiculously soft. I will be buying more of these.

Not the best support, but otherwise very soft and comfortable. Odor resistant, even after hiking or working out. Definitely recommended!

I agree with Ryan here, not the boxer if you are looking for snug support.

Ditto Ryan's comment after a few hours when the wool stretches out some the support is lacking. I wear these with 500 or 250g mid weight Smart Wool long underwear beneath my Dry Suit. I am a Commercial Diver and the loss of support can be a real inconvinence during a 4 hour dive but the Benifits of the fabric out weigh the disadvantages

Durable for microweight, no funk after 10 days out

Microweight wool can be fragile. Washing it can wear it down quickly, so treat them with care. Make sure to air dry them unless you need to shrink them a bit.

I've had these boxers out in the backcountry for 10 days and they stayed funk-free. The fit is great, and they are very comfortable. I have a 32" or 33" waist and the mediums fit like a glove.

If they were cheaper I'd have a drawer full of them.

Soft and Sweet

Picked up a couple of these to act as a first layer while skiing, running whatever and liked it so much I picked up more. Very soft and true to the sizing. They are merino wool though so they won't last as long as a cotton or poly blend if you don't take care of them right (avoid the dryer at a very least)

If you can afford it, this is the only boxers you'll ever need

I got a pair on sale. I wish I had gotten two. These things don't seem to ever get funky, not even after a weekend of wear. No itch. No chafe. No more monkey butt. Just a cozy home for your boys.
