Great layer I use it by itself on warmer spring days and part of a layer system in the winter and fall. Great shirt. Just started to get some holes after 2 years but I wear it constantly so it's expected

I love my Smartwool apparel usually, and those this fits well and is long enough to tuck in I find it to be a tad scratchy. It's not so scratchy that it's annoying, but it's definitely not up to the normal Smartwool quality I expect. It's warm though.

After wearing synthetic shirts for a few years while hiking and backpacking, i picked this tee up after trying the base layers the previous winter and loving them. The shirt dries super fast, doesn't retain odors like synthetic, and keeps you warmer than synthetics will. Merino wool is more or less a superior product. I did however put a thumb through the armpit while trying to take it off. Also keep away from any velcro.

Excellent shirt that doesn't stink after 5 days backpacking. I've put this shirt through its paces and wool will replace most of my polypro items in the future. Has pilled a tiny bit after fairly heavy use and will stick with polypro items for things like rock climbing due to abrasion resistence.
