I love these thermal bottoms. Not itchy, kept me toasty warm on the slopes without being bulky. Am now wearing them at work under my scrubs.

Great product, wish it was made in the USA. Thin enough to wear under all my pants without bunching. I'm 5 feet tall, 36, 28, 38, and the medium fit great. I did have them hemmed.

Jersey Knit refers to how the fabric is woven from the fiber, this is Jersey knit wool. Fabrics that are jersey knit have an inherent amount of stretch, a soft hand, and are fairly thin. Most cotton T-shirts are Jersey knit.

Brenda, yes it is 100% merino wool. Jersey knit refers to a very fine merino wool and how it is woven into the fabric, no idea how they came up with that term.

I am usually allergic to wool, but thought I would give smart wool a try as I needed something for this winter weather. I am happy to report that it is truly a no-itch material that is toasty warm. Also machine washes well. Highly recommended.

These pants are both light and warm. In the winter I wear them under my jeans when I know I'll be outside for a bit and they keep me toasty! I've also worn them under my ski pants and they regulate my temperature perfectly. As a naturally cold person, they keep me surprisingly warm for how light they are. But at the same time, they don't overheat when it's a tad bit warmer. They are pretty thin and I actually tore a hole in them when I was pulling them on one morning - so be careful. Otherwise they are a wise investment.
