SmartWool NTS Lightweight Bottom - Men's

I purchased two Smartwool merino liners, one from a local shop and another from Backcountry a few days later. The same day the one from Backcountry arrived, I washed the one from my local shop. Followed all instructions and washed on gentle cycle with low heat dryer. The pair came out unraveling at the ankle seams. Exchanged that at the local shop for a second pair which came out of their first washing with a huge rip in the seat (and it wasn't even on the seem). I thus decided to return the unused pair to Backcountry and go with Icebreaker instead. I live in the town of Smartwool's HQ and emailed in my issue but haven't heard anything back in a week. This is quite disappointing to see the "hometown team" have this problem. For now, I'd stay away from this product.

These fit great. I wore them all last week and felt better than the Smartwool Mediun Weight I have already. Long enough to shrink but not too long. I bought the blue ones

I ordered these and a crew, both lightweight. They are perfect for me in north Alabama. Following the size chart's recommendations got me a good fit.

They are so comfortable that I have found myself not wanting to take them off. Amazingly comfortable, much different than the wool I grew up with.

Plenty warmth for my part of the country. I'm hooked.

I could not be happier with these. They are super soft. Unbelievably comfortable. The seams on other base layers I have worn have bothered me. I don't even notice they are there on these. Warmth wise, well they are a lightweight pair. Although, they are warmer than other lightweight layers I have tried. Perfect for snowboarding or other winter activities during a Utah winter, which is exactly what they are made for. However, not the best for high mountaineering unless you have some other significant layers on.
