These pads do exactly what they claim to do - provide protection. They not only protect the trees that you are strapped to, they also protect the slack line. Well worth the investment.

I bought these for equal parts protecting the trees I was rigging my line between and to extend the life of my line itself. The rolls are very easily mounted and compact well so they don't add too much bulk to my pack if I want to take the line out on trips.
I did buy the bigger size to be able to rig around any tree - this has proven to be a good decision.
Slackline Industries provide plenty of spare velcroes which is very encouraging, though even after several months of use I am not seeing any real signs of wear.
