Excess Slack
About 40 feet of unused line rolled up right here.
SlackFoolery
We picked one of these up for all the great laughs it provides us at the campsite. Seriously, hours of enjoyment/mayhem will ensue upon purchasing one of these things! We have the 85 footer; however, we'd prolly would have been better off with the 50 foot version instead. We found some trees that stretched it out about 75'ish or so feet (which seemed suuuuuuper long by the way), but you've really gotta lasso it up higher around the trees so it doesn't touch in the middle when walking on it. Furthermore, if you've imbibed a little, standing up 4.5 feet high can feel quite staggering to say the least! No joke!
If you've got extreme core strength/balance, get the 85 footer, if not, the 50 footer should be totally sufficient for all your needs.
Easy to Use
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
I can set this up by myself in under 5 minutes. Very intuitive if you've used a ratchet before. The blue tree protectors are quite nice and I use them to wrap up the line when I'm done. It fits nicely into a pretty small backpack.
I'm new to slacklining, and the 50 foot version has been more than enough length for use in the park.
Everything you need to get started
- Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Bought this for a recent camping trip with some friends, and everyone loved it. Super easy set up and a great way to spend an afternoon when your camping or hanging with friends.
Highly recommend keeping one of these in your car camping it!
Fun for the family
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
seen people use these at the park, decided to get one :) it is east to set up, and hard to use lol but its fun seeing who can stay on the longest or walk the farthest :)
Awesome
I had been using the line at the gym I work at and I finally decided to buy my own. I am extremely happy with the line and slack line industries. It's really easy to set up and use and is great to learn on, the included DVD and tree pro give you everything you need to get started right out of the box. It's worth the little extra money to get the 85 footer as you will quickly outgrow the 50 foot length. Well worth the money.
Great beginning kit
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I wish that I had purchased one for myself as well, but alas, I gave it to my best friend. This is a super good kit for learning how to slackline. Easy to use instructions included. Go with the 85 footer.
Sunsets and Slacklines.
Balancing and stuff.
So Ratchet.
Super solid ratchet. Seriously. Tough stuff.
Can you feel the Baseline?
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
Decided I finally wanted to get my own slackline instead of just mooching off of my brother and this kit is awesome! Of course I have seen the lines that are thinner and have more bounce, but I was looking for something that both my wife and I could use to learn how to slackline on our days off.
Right out of the box this slackline is super easy to use. The instructions are clear and the ratchet is very easy to operate. I got the 85 foot line and it will be a long time before I can get even close to walking that distance, but it is nice to have the option to go that long if needed.
The straps are super solid, feel like they are great quality and even the graphics are cool. Where this strap is designed specifically for slacklining it has a great feel as you are trying to find your balance. The ratchet is solid, easy to engage, easy to crank down on to get the right tension, and also fairly easy to release at the end of the day (even though it is a pretty violent release just because of the tension).
I'm excited to keep using this line and have been inviting all my friends to come slackline with us because it is such an easy line to learn on but you can still have plenty of fun on it. A great product from Slackline Industries and I'm looking forward to use the line some more and really work on my skills!
