    Great, now I'm spoiled.

After using these bluetooth headphones, I have no idea why I ever used to run with wired earbuds. THEY ACTUALLY STAY IN YOUR EARS! It's incredible! They come with loads of different sized earpieces so you can dial in a comfortable fit. Pretty good range and quality of audio--not quite the caliber of over-ear models like the Aviators, but I'm certainly not disappointed. The pairing process is quite easy and I'm impressed with the battery life. Just make sure you charge them regularly so you don't get caught without tunes!

These headphones changed my life! Well... that may be A BIT of an exaggeration but they really are pretty awesome. My biggest passion this spring has been split-boarding up the local ski resort. It's the perfect activity for the "in-between" season (i.e. between winter/summer or snowboarding/hiking). Regardless, I started out with regular headphones and I swear every time I moved, or turned my head they would either fall out on their own or, more commonly, get caught on my backpack straps or camelback tube and rip out. Coming down was even worse, they basically didn't stay in at all. The xtFrees on the other hand don't budge at all. It'€™s awesome. And they are actually really comfortable. Also, there is no chord connecting to my phone to get caught on anything, which is super helpful. I'€™ve also taken them on a few "€œtest runs" (pun intended). Again, they are comfortable and stay right where they are meant to. They even come with extra size options and a piece that allows you "shorten"€ the chord that connects the two ear pieces. I"d imagine these would be pretty great to travel with as well since they are fairly noise canceling with the way that the jelly ear pieces fit into your ear. Sometimes, this "noise cancelingness" bothers me since I can't hear whats going on around me outside, but overall, I’m really happy with these headphones and I can’t wait to take them on my future adventures!

    Pretty darn good

Thank you Backcountry.com and Skullcandy for selecting me to review these bluetooth headphones. I am a mid week gym rat and usually go sans headphones as it drives me nuts having the cord get caught on something-usually anything. I end up getting pissed off and ripping them out-yes i get a little huffy when things like that get in my way. Its frustrating. Hence i was super stoked to be asked to review some wireless headphones. Now-let me say i am NOT technically saavy and was acutally thinking to pass on them. I ended up getting them and am quite happy.

    Pros:
Secure fit-high cardio no movement or falling out!!
    Easy to put in ears
    Lots of extra ear nubs
    Little pouch to store
    Easy to charge
    Very easy to use
    Controls easy-volume, pause, talk etc
    Good sound
    No dangling wires
    Connects easily to bluetooth
    Good battery life

    Cons:
After one hour my ears hurt/ached--see disclaimer
Stick out a little far/not a comfortable long travel (laying on a pillow in a plane or car)
The cord stuck to my neck sweat-moved to front of neck and was fine
Bluetooth at times would skip-phone needs to be close by

Disclaimer-i have sensitive ears and all in ear buds hurt after a while. So its hard to say if these will be an issue for you-i use them exclusively for gym and jog and after an hr or so im done anyways. I am super pleased with these and happy with them. Would reccomend them to friends for sure. I think the sound was good and quality is great.

update-something super cool is that if you forget to turn your earbuds off then after 10 mins they power off! coming from someone that does NOT turn anything off and drains the battery dead-this was a super cool feature to me.

    Pretty darn good

    Decent....

Thanks to Skullcandy and Backcountry.com for giving me the opportunity to review these Bluetooth headphones. I’ve used Skullcandy headphones in the past and have loved the sound quality and durability. These headphones seem even more durable than those I’ve used in the past and seem like they’d hold up well to repeated use and throwing them around your bag. I had a minor issue with sound quality however. I tested them with a variety of music genres and overall found them to be pretty decent. The sound was clear but on music where the bass should’ve been more dominant, it seemed a bit lacking. There was a bit of an issue getting the right fit, which took quite some time switching out the earpieces until finding the right ones. Once I did find the right earpieces to fit, it was comfortable and secure throughout my workout. It connected well to the Bluetooth without any issues. Since it does have a mic, I tried making a phone call with it but the quality of my voice to the person I was talking to was reported as very poor. For use as a Bluetooth headset for the gym, I think they’d work out well. These aren’t going to work out for me because you can’t just have one headphone in and when I’m on the trail hiking, running or taking a walk around the neighborhood, this isn’t good. I never put both headphones in unless I’m working out indoors. I’ll probably end up using these solely for gym workouts.

    Great secure fit

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got these for my wife to use while she's exercising - she wanted a bluetooth headset so that she could control her music from her Apple watch while running. They work great for that, but the best feature is most likely their fit. She says they're super comfortable, but stay put, which is a tough combo to find.

Once you go Bluetooth you don't go back!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use headphones everyday- at the gym, walking around town, running in the park, etc. This is my first pair of Bluetooth earbuds and I don't know how I managed all this time without them! They have seriously transformed the way I workout.

    Pros:
-Wireless: I do a lot of mat workouts at the gym, following along routines with YouTube videos. Not having my headphones connected to my phone is a huge advantage. I'm able to watch the videos and still do the moves without having to replace my phone in a different position each time.
-Fit: These buds are super lightweight and the ear gels are smaller, making them more ideal for our lady ears. I run with them all the time and they rarely fall out.
    - Sound: These things bump!

    Cons:
-Battery Life: I'm not too stoked on the battery life of these guys. I say for every 4 hours you use them they need a recharge. You have to pay attention to when they need recharging too, they don't give you much warning. There is nothing worse than being in the middle of a workout and having your headphones die!

Invest in a nice pair of bluetooth buds, I promise you won't regret it. The way these have transformed my workouts has been so great. Not having to always be connected to your phone is super nice.
