Your apartment-trembling full stack was repossessed because your brutal band couldn't make money melting faces, but thankfully the Skullcandy Vandal adds the same classic style and a great sound while you stay sane listening to your demo. You could have made it big, you think as the horrid tones blast from this dock's 80mm woofers and 19mm tweeters. Even if the music sounds like a Satanic camel dying of thirst in a sandstorm, this dock's 21 watts of power (10.5 watts per channel) can make it sound pretty good after you tweak the bass and treble control dials.

  • Docks and charges your iPod or iPhone (30-pin connector required)
  • 3.5mm aux input lets you plug in pretty much any media device
  • Push buttons and tone and volume knobs control your musical selections
  • Includes remote control so you can DJ from behind the bar
  • The two-way speakers feature a frequency response of 20-20k Hz to deliver a full sound no matter what kind of music you play
  • Includes an 100v-240v AC power supply to plug into the wall so the music never stops

disappointed, but still reasonable value

I picked up one of these on SAC, and liked it enough that I grabbed another on WM. I like the look, and for the price the sound is quite good. My only complaint there is that the sound is fairly directional - different tones are stronger or weaker depending on whether you're on the same horizontal plane as the speaker. But I'm using mine as bedside music for myself and my son, so no worries.

My big complaint is that after a couple months of use, the docking feature has gone kaput. Neither mine nor my wife's iPhone 4s work on either station. We don't beat up the phones or the stations, so this just suggests a lack of durability / quality for the port.

Bottom line: the aux jack is good enough for our purposes, and given the sale price, I'm happy enough with the sound. But careful if you really want the docking feature.

Really solid. I wonder why Skull Candy stopped making it. Luckily I picked it up on WhiskeyMilitia.

Music to my ears!

I've had this for a few weeks now and find it to be the perfect kitchen speakers. I charge and play tunes from my iPod Classic when I come into the kitchen. It is also loud enough to fill my apartment with tunes that I stream from my iPhone and Macbook Pro via a 3.5mm output from my Airport express. Love having wireless music streaming throughout my place.

Amazing Sound Quality

We've got this in our living room and it works great with both my boyfriend's iPod (using the dock) and my shuffle (using the input cord). The bass and treble dials are an excellent feature and provide a depth of sound quality way above any other docking station we've used before. Plus it looks great! Dance party at my place.
