Sick of those tiny buds killing your ears? Check out the iCon2 Headphones—a new and improved refinement of what made Skullcandy a household name for cool kids. Skullcandy constructed the iCon 2 with the same double headband design that you’ve come to know and love in the original. These ultra light sport headphones have a powerful 30mm audio driver for ridiculously clear sound. The iCon 2’s also come with a stereo headphone adapter if you prefer to rock your beats on the wheels of steel.
I love these headphones. So convenient to talk on my phone and get stuff done (including driving) hands free. Sound is awesome and they sit super comfortable around my neck when I am not listening to music.
Nina, the sale prices change all the time. You can talk to a BC rep but they will not usually know when the prices will change. However, they will sometimes still honor the previous sale price.

If you've worn headphones when you ride before, then you know you need to keep the suckers on your head. Well these babies have sticky rubber grip on the underneath up top. So they don't slide around on your beanie/head. Get some/after it!
I took 3 laps in the Park trying to ride with the GoPro on a stick. It worked good except I should have extended the stick out more to get a better shot. Sorry I'm also doing the same tricks over and over, but it is a little awkward snowboarding with a camera on a stick. The backflip looks cool though!
I like these headphones a lot, excellent sound quality. It has a no frills looks, but it is nice, I have two pairs of these I picked up on Whiskey Militia for $12 or so. If they ever break, Skull Candy cover there products for life, you can't lose out.
I have now decided that these are called the anoyance blocker, the reason being when i am wearing these people can actually see that i am listening to music and they won't talk to me on the chair lift, but when a bro comes up you can easily slide them off and talk about the huge booter your hitin'. They're perfect
These can be worn under a helmet but will not be comfortable and you will compromise some of your helmet's safety ability to perform the way it was intended to do.
These headphones are ok for sitting around in, but my experience doing any kind of activity (sans beanie) wearing these...including looking up/down - they shift position and constantly need to be re-positioned. This could be due to my pea-brain sized head,but....... I don't think so. Anyways, sound is decent.
I used my old Icons on and off the mountain, but these new ones are pretty uncomfortable unless you're wearing a beanie. I originally praised them quite a bit but looks like I will end up returning them because I can't use them without a beanie. Your milage may vary
Skullcandy have simply stepped up and made the original iCons better with the iCon 2. The rubber underneath the top of the headband make sure they don´t slide of your head. The earpads have been improved and the padding is thinner, and more solid than the old porous ones on the iCons.
if you're asking if they are submergible then no they aren't...skullcandy doesn't make any headphones that are designed for prolonged exposure to water of any kind, but they are plenty tough to withstand dumping snow or a tumble in the pow
I recently bought these headphones, and I was skeptical on the sound quality. From reading the other reviews, I had the impression that they were good for snowboarding, but the sound was iffy. Well, I'm glad to say that I LOVE them. They have great sound quality. I really like the rubber grip on the inside of the top. One thing I was a bit disappointed about was that on the in-line controller DIDN'T have a volume control, only play/pause. I personally don't use it that much, but it's good to have it right near you so if you are talking to someone, you can hear what they say to you!
I'd have to say I was a little bit disappointed the first time I plugged these bad boys into my iPod and started playing music that usually drowns my headphones with bass. These failed to deliver that punch that gets inside your head. I use them snowboarding, so they're over my beanie, but nonetheless I had a hard time getting them loud enough to drown out the ambient noises, and the sound of the air whizzing by my head is sometimes louder than my music with these headphones. However, they do stay on my head pretty well, and the cushioned ear pads are quite comfortable. Also, the pause button is very useful (if you don't feel like putting them around your neck, which is also why I prefer headphones as opposed to earphones). For the price, I think they're a great buy, but if you're looking for superior performance, you might have to spend a little bit more money.
I totally agree. I expected more bass. I actually ended up breaking mine (they got ran over by a school bus, there's no way they could have survived that!), so I might get the same Gridlock design, but in a different, more expensive model
Cain, they should just be plug and play. These do contain an in-line mic so they should work for most smartphones. However, there are certain Blackberry's that Skullcandy Mic'd headphones will not work with. Yours might fall into that category. I would call their CS department at 1.888.My.Skull to troubleshoot.
I picked up 2 pairs for my 5 and 7 year old boys. I wanted something that would be good for kids and these did not disappoint.
My first concern was that the head phones would fit there little heads. Everything was great there, they went down small enough that the kids still had to make them bigger, and they went big enough that they still fit me.
The cord has a nylon wrap so it is extra durable. The only thing they can't stop is my kid from losing them.
So I will be ordering another pair today as my youngest lost his.
Obviously, for the purposes that these headphones have been made, these aren't going to sound like top of the line Technics, though they definitely don't sound bad.(I give them a 6.5/10 on the audio scale) They do, however look killer. I have the gold/brown pair and I think they are sick looking. Underneath the top there is a tacky rubber strip, and the ear pads are angled a bit to make sure that these will stick to your head no matter what you're hucking.
Wear these snowboarding, work great with a beanie, stay on through some bad wrecks. They are pretty load so you can hear them pretty well with the wind whipping in your ear.
when wearing them on a beanie i love them! but when no beanie on they slide off my head easily because of the hair... the rubber thing doesn't help at all.. but they DO look cool around the neck! 8)
Do I wear necklaces? No, cuz of my dude-ness. I wear these on my head or around my neck instead. Now people can get a little whiff of the rad music on my iPod while I cruise around looking cool.
ive had thesse headphones for about a month and could not be happier with my decision. i Had the Icon Soft head phones and they were sweet dont get me wrong but but these will be bought again by me NO Doubt. With the In line mic, and rubber top section i dont know how they could make these more Legit.
SKULLCANDY HEADPHONES ARE THE WAY TO GO, watch any major Ski/ Snowboard Film!!!!!
I got the Rasta color and I wear them snowboarding and I love them! They stay in your head really will while getting inverted or slamming hard with the rubber grip on the top. I highly recommend these headphones to any snowboarder and they come with a mic so you can answer your iphone without freezing your fingers off on those cold days!
Broke my first pair, seconds pair has been great. New colorways are awesome. Get loud enough for me to easily hear while skiing. Much better design then original Icon.
Skullcandy definitely improved these from the icon switching to the pliable mold they are using now which allows the headphone to bend with out breaking. They do an excellent job of staying on your head riding through the park/bumps etc. My only complaint is that with my first pair only the right ear worked. But I brought them to Skullcandy and they gave me a new set no questions asked, thumbs up for that.
They stay on your bennie just fine and the fabric cord is a nice touch doesn't get tangled and stays straight without and "curl". Very light weight which is nice just don't grip your head very tight so I kept checking to make sure they were on all the way...
I love these headphones. So convenient to talk on my phone and get stuff done (including driving) hands free. Sound is awesome and they sit super comfortable more...
