How do these compare with the Skullcandy Hesh 2's?

Hey Thomas Edwards,
Thanks for the question. Comparing the Skullcandy Hesh Headphones - 2011 to the Hesh 2s is easy to do as the Hesh 2s have the Supreme Sound as Skullcandy had revamped their sound for 2012. The difference is pretty apparent as the bass is mellowed slightly and the surrounding other channels come through much better, especially vocals. Certainly a different sound than 2011 versions.

Good sounding headphones. Mic has some cool options for changing tracks and such. Mine are a little tight on my ears and start to hurt a little after wearing them for a long time.

Good headphone, good quality! Cancels noise pretty well so I like to use them on the plane and in car rides. If worn for an extended period of time they do start to pinch your ears/: but overall good headphone!

I am wearing these EXACT headphones with the design on them and color! They make things sound so real and high quality and feel so soft! You can play music so loud and you can not even hear yourself scream! And if you have kittens who love string they may not be able to harm it because it is layered with about a few millimeters of hard and tough string.
I will recommend these headphones to everyone! I love them soooo much!

I received these as a gift from my girlfriend and immediately liked them due to the awesome styling on them. The sound is definitely good but they market these as having HUGE bass and this isn't really the case. My main concern with Skullcandy as a whole, is that they are putting too much money into the styling and letting the quality suffer as a result. Both of each speaker is only connected to the padded top by an incredibly small sliver of plastic (Were talking 12 mm X 1mm.) If you are used to slightly stretching the headphones off of your head, you will most likely break these headphones. The "leather" wasn't properly sewn in and started to disadhere quickly. Both of my speakers fell entirely off. Unless you are going to treat these like a baby, I can't recommend them.
Please Skullcandy! Your products look amazing now please make them perform like headphones and not wishbones! This is my second and last pair of Skullcandy headphones

I would use the icon or icon 2 (what I wear) but these will work. They'll be a bit bulky tho.

It seems like some people find them uncomfortable, but I have to disagree. Perhaps I have a weird shaped head... Either way, I like the padding on them and I think they are fairly comfy, and for the price (just under $40 at the moment) I think they are definitely decent headphones. They are somewhat bass-y, but not overly so. I do seem to break a pair every 3 months or so, I'm pretty rough on headphones though. I guess i would say, find some, try them on, if you think they feel alright and have $40 to spend on headphones... buy them!

I love these headphones soooo much! The sound is amazing and I think they sound better than the Aviators if you are listening to music with bass! I wear these 8 hours a day, 5 days a week at work and have no complaints except they do get a little sore on the ear cartilage after a while, but what headphone doesn't? I will definitely get another pair when this one dies. I'm on my 3rd year with the same ones so these are lasting a long time!
