    Fruit power.

Engineered to be 15% less sweet and have a higher moisture content than traditional energy chews, the Skratch Labs Fruit Drops are easier to digest, so you can take on energy faster and without any negative side effects. The Fruit Drops carefully balance glucose and fructose to maximize energy absorption, have more salt to help you during high-sweat activities, and are made from real fruit, so they taste better than other chews.

    • All-natural ingredients digest easily
    • High sodium content provides rapid replenishment

    Ride candy.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The taste isn't overwhelming, which is a definite plus on long days in high temperatures. Plus, rooting out gummy bits stuck between teeth and in molars gives you something to do for those two hour climbs.

    Great Flavor; hard to chew

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am a big fan of these; the have a great flavor that is easy to put down when you're in the pain cave!

My only complaint is that they are a bit harder to chew and swallow than some others, but it's a pretty small issue; they are certainly easier to eat than the Powerbar Gel Blasts!

great product, but gets stale fast

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love the slightly sour tang in contrast to similar products which tend to be overly sweet. Very easy on my stomach. I found very hard to get out of the pouch whether new or stale. Got stale months before the expiration date - still edible, but very stiff and extremely sticky once you started to eat - like tear out fillings sticky.

    Not as sweet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This chew comes with good science behind it. I certainly does not have the sweet taste like the Stinger chews. They have a sugar like coating on the outside that I did not care for much. I need more time with them to really find out if they work for me.

Great product with sub-par shelf life

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love these except I stocked up on a sale and found they started to get hard and stale after 6-8 weeks and very hard after 12 weeks - which was long before the expiration date. Still tasted fine and absolutely no spoilage, just an effort to chew and a risk of tearing my fillings out since they were so sticky.

    Excellent product

So Skratch specializes in energy and hydration, in a way with less sugar and more electrolytes which is nice. Coming from using some other brands out there, after trying these, I thought I'd pick some up for a trip I had coming up. I prefer chews over gels and most all of what I have tried and used seems to be overly sweet. Having a gel is almost like taking a scoop of sugary peanut butter and trying to swallow it. Other chews can be excessively chewy and sweet at the same time. These things were great at not being overly sweet (some salt) or chewy and at providing some energy without being overly sweet, or excessively chewy. My buddy had some of a competitor and after he tried these, we were using solely these for the rest of the trip. I highly recommend any of the flavors, give them a try, you will probably not use anything else after.

    This is science

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Skratch knows what its doing when it comes to replacing electrolytes. They are founded by one of the worlds leading scientists on athletic nutrition. Their fruit drops do it again. They are less sweet and offer a higher moisture content. That allows your body to better absorb the goodness in each drop.

A snack for all types of marathons

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Have you ever marveled at the unconditional enthusiasm your puppy demonstrates every time you enter the room, whether you've been gone 5 minutes or 5 days? I used to dream of being that excited about something. But now I am! Skratch Labs have made the world's first perfect fruit snack. Call it an energy chew if you like, because it does indeed give you a solid shot of carbs, sugars, and sodium when you're hitting a wall on the trail, but I could eat a case(maybe even two) of these while binge watching Netflix on a cold and rainy Sunday night. I guess you could say they are the perfect marathon food, whether that marathon involves running or not.

Yummy little drops to fuel the ride. Compared to other gummy/block options out there, these are much better sized for single bites, and the sugar coating keeps them from sticking to your fingers when it's warm out. The flavor is pretty mild and not overly sweet, which makes it easier to fuel mid-ride. All good stuff.

The only thing I would change is the packaging - it's not the easiest to open/access the drops while riding without losing a few in the process. Something more like the lined-up Clif blocks packaging would make these the perfect food.

Easier on the GI than Cliff Shot Blocks

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I tried these out on a long run last week and was really pleased. They didn't freeze solid -- it was 20 degrees outside --allowed me to slowly fuel through the run, and taste good. I've tried Cliff Shot Blocks before and have had a hard time stomaching them. My running buddy received some Shot Blocks at a race and tried them on our run last week. We ended up stopping at the local grocery store for him to use the facilities due to GI distress. We've both used these Scratch Labs Drops recently and have been pleasantly surprised.

    Best gel out there

I love the other Skratch Labs products and have switched over to only using their Exercise Hydration mix for my training rides and races. These gels taste great, go down easy even when you're hammering in a race, and don't cause any GI issues.

"This is candy, I'm having fun!"

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These chews are best encapsulated by quoting the wise Frau Farbissina from the classic film by the title of Austin Powers: "This is candy, I'm having fun!"

Seriously though, these taste amazing and they're made of real food. My wife and I love them.
