While you sleep, a blank palette of fresh snow falls and waits for you and your Ski Trab Tour Rando XL Ski to paint tracks with snow-savvy finesse. With the first hints of pink licking the horizon, you spring awake, ready to assess the snow pack, break trail with ease, and float over powdery rollers—and then cruise back up for more. Although blessed with lightweight rando racing abilities, this touring ski was made to lap up the sweet, soft reward of smoky face shots.
Whether you're pursuing chase on the rando circuit or leading the backcountry crew on another tour, traditional camber lets you climb with ease and crank hard on the way down. Power cap construction employes reinforced fiberglass to impart structural rigidity and stability to the ski for a solid-feeling ride without the heft. The wood core sports air channels to minimize weight while still giving the ski sass-n-damp, which makes the XL a lively, bouncy ski that diminishes brain-rattling vibrations if crud is the terrain du jour.
A solid 113mm at the widest point of the tip makes breaking trail an elevating experience and minimizes tip-diving when you're riding down. While waist-deep powder will be a challenge with 81mm underfoot, you'll shred shin-deep snow like your cat shreds every couch you've ever owned. The microfinish grinding on the edges make this ski a dream to turn, both in your sleep and in reality.
