Description

Engineered in the Alps for guides, racers, and ski mountaineers everywhere.

You crave untouched country, with peaks in every direction and more goats than skiers. To get there as fast as possible, you click into the ultra-lightweight Ski Trab Race Aero World Cup Ski and move freely through the mountains. While light and fast enough for rando racers, this carbon-reinforced ski can handle the biggest lines and endless couliors, not to mention every kind of snow that you'll encounter on your 8,000-foot descent.
  • Durable, lightweight torsion box cap construction achieves greater edge power with less materials
  • The aramid honeycomb core provides ultralight performance and features stronger, more compressed areas where you need it for the descent
  • Mid-fat, tapered dimensions with traditional camber turns on anything you find out there, from blower to blue ice
  • Duo Technology yields separate flex patterns in the tip, sidecut, and tail, for easy trail breaking, enhanced snow contact, and nimble turnability
  • Carbon, fiberglass, and hybrid reinforcements provide stability without weight, and a fiber plate below the binding zone secures your binding screws
  • Micro-finished steel edges grip icy couloirs and exposed snowfields so you can get through the crux without incident

Quite the claims in the advertising copy. Trab makes great skis, especially lightweight race skis like this one, but the advertising is over the top.

"Mid-fat, tapered dimensions with traditional camber turns on anything you find out there, from blower to blue ice"

How does it handle in deep spring slop?

Are 64mm waisted skis the new mid-fat?
