Altavia Light Ski

It takes a special kind of skier to squeeze into a Lycra suit, strap a headlamp on, and tour in a single morning what most skiers wouldn't do in a week. If this is your type of skiing, the Ski Trab Altavia Light is your ski. The Altavia saves most of its weight through its lightweight, LiWood core with air canals. The core is then encased with a quadriaxial braid, which enhances the overall downhill performance of the ski, while keeping weight at a minimum. Carbon/fiberglass reinforcements help resist torsional stress and improve the flex of the skis giving them a surprising amount of downhill capability for skis in their weight class.

Since ski mountaineering puts a ski's durability to the test, Ski Trab built the Altavia tough enough to last in the steep, rocky, and icy terrain that's so common in the alpine. A fiber plate underfoot ensures a solid connection between the ski and binding, and the sintered bases will withstand those few unavoidable rocks you'll encounter out there. The hardened steel edges will hold tight when you're making every turn count on a section of blue ice, while a scratch-proof polyamide film keeps your topsheets clean and ensures the structural integrity of the ski isn't compromised.
