While body armor is somewhat necessary, especially in the gravity-driven areas of DH and freeriding, comfort has always been an issue. SixSixOne tackles the problem with its Sub Gear short sleeve top. The Sub Gear uses EVA and Intella-Foam flexible padding to absorb impact while remaining flexible and comfortable.


The top’s main body fabric is made from nylon and elastane and provides a snug fit that supports muscles to reduce fatigue, much like a compression piece. Protection is provided at the chest and shoulders. The Sub Gear’s core venting forces cooling air through the top and allows moisture to escape.
