Six Six One has always taken a unique approach to its designs. The Rhythm Soft Shell Elbow Pad is a perfect example of what we're talking about. Look at the  problems with traditional elbow pads. They're hot, they move around so you have to constantly adjust the pad's position, and the hard shell is uncomfortable. Six Six One designers looked at these problems and decided that the best way to address them would be to start over from scratch. The Rhythm Soft Shell Elbow Pad was born.

The Rhythm is built around a breathable, compressive, stretch sleeve. There are a few advantages to this design. the first is that it keeps the pad in place so you don't have to make adjustments while you ride. To enhance this feature, Six Six One added a silicone print to make sure that the Rhythm stays put. The second is that the compressive material reduces vibration to alleviate stress and fatigue on your muscles. Attached to this sleeve is a lightweight, ventilated pad that protects you from above the elbow down to just the middle of the forearm. This is a larger area than standard elbow pads can cover, and the Rhythm's flexible construction and airflow-promoting ventilation make it quite a bit more comfortable, too.

The Six Six One Rhythm Soft Shell Elbow Pad is available in Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large and comes in Black with Blue and White accents.

Need an extra layer of skin?

This is the pad you need. Soft, light-weight, breathable and super flexible. It is, like an extra layer of skin. Is it going to help when you slam your elbow directly onto a rock? Nope. Not really - but it will help to minimize the road rash. Good buy.

good for keeping dirt out of your rash

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've worn these now on 2 to 3 rides and have had hard falls in small falls. they suck at preventing rash, cuts, and bruises. they are good for keeping bushes from scratching you and keeping dirt out of the wounds you still get. that's it. looking for tougher stuff now.

they do breathe well. and the large fit well. they stay in place. but keep my experiences in mind.
