The lightweight, breathable Six Six One Men's N8-3 Pressure Suit provides spine and chest protection to increase the chances that you'll be able to walk away from your next big bike wreck. Molded plastic sections protect your spine from impact while still allowing total freedom of movement, so you don't feel like you're riding with a board on your back. Six Six One made the vast majority of this zip-on vest from mesh to help you stay cool when you blaze your favorite freeride trail in the middle of summer.

Bottom Line: Stay protected and keep comfortable in the Six Six One N8-3 Pressure Suit.

Dont even realize you're wearing it

I love this suit and wear it snowboarding and downhill mountain biking. I like the freedom of movement and I don't feel like I'm even wearing it most of the time. In the summer, I just throw a T-shirt over it. I've yet to take a nasty spill on it to fully test it out (knock on wood), but the spine peice definitely seems like it would do the trick.

Great torso protection

By:
December 3, 2008

I'm a road bike racer and bought this for commuting safety in the winter. I got hit by a car and had a fully separated shoulder so I'm paranoid now. The shoulder protection isn't very good (doesn't protect the top or deltoid) but the torso and back protection is excellent. It also breathes pretty well, not very hot, and doesn't restrict motion so it's great for protecting yourself during cold weather road riding.

It gets a bit hot in the winter - but I compensate by wearing less layers and it ends up working out. I spend a fair amount of time skiing in the park, and I'm surprised that I don't even notice I'm wearing it doing spins etc. Perhaps, were I doing inversions, it would get in the way.

Back pad is uncomfortable

By:
February 4, 2009

I returned this because the spine pad was uncomfortable. It's too wide and too long. Go with the Demon vest instead.
