Leave it to Simple to nail a pitch-perfect combination of casual style and vegan- friendly, earth-aware materials in the Men\222s Tuba Shoe. This sneaker boasts a long list of eco-features including: recycled PET laces, organic cotton upper and lining, recycled inner-tube toe and heel caps, removable foot bed made from recycled paper (really!) and an outsole crafted from used car tires. But don\222t worry, Simple isn\222t asking you to suffer in the name of saving the planet\227they packed plenty of comfort into the Tuba Shoe, too.
Bottom Line: Blows away other so-called \221eco-friendly\222 shoes.

I love these shoes. they're comfy, look great and are mega environmentally friendly.
There are a few quirks: the shoe laces hate being stayed tight. I noticed some minor stitching coming undone; nothing that seems major, but a point of concern because I noticed it less than a week after purchase.
oh, and of course...its a cotton canvas shoe...so don't expect any sort of water resistance at all ;)

I love these shoes. Being Vegan, finding footwear that is both animal friendly and comfortable is often a challenge. Montrail has taken care of my running and hiking needs, but often times you just want a comfortable pair of shoes to lounge around in. These fit the bill. I went a half size larger than I normally wear. The organic cotton is quite soft, and the sole is grippy and is so far wearing well. It IS a tire after all. I figure it will keep tread for longer than the rest of the shoe will last.

These are some solid shoes for being so light and flimsy looking. Very tough, thick and grippy soles. Really comfortable with soft insoles. They have little to no arch support but that's alright cause they feel stable. Look good too.

hese fell apart on me less than 6 weeks after I bought them. the sole just came unglued from the upper, and the whole thing came apart. I returned them,a nd got another pair which lasted no more than 6 weeks before they fell apart again. These are horrible. the least durable shoes, and the most expensive canvas sneakers I've ever owned.
