When you lace up the Simple Women's Play Toe Casual Shoes, you can take a sigh of relief—finally, a sustainable sneaker. However, just because it's an all-natural shoe, doesn't mean it feels like a wooden block on your foot. The removable natural latex pedbed gives you lots of support, a bamboo lining feels comfy without holding odors, and a natural jute upper is soft despite its rugged look. When the people at Simple made these Green Toe shoes, they used 100% post-consumer paper pulp foot forms, water-based cements, and they reduced excess packaging. They also made the latex heel with a message: Shoes with Less Junk in ‘Em. We believe it. *Note: these shoes contain latex.
Bottom Line: The Simple Play Toe Casual Shoes are sneakers without the environment-thrashing junk.

Cute: Got the compliments of my little sister, the family's fashion queen.
Comfy: First weekend with these shoes included a Saturday of shopping, milling about at a party, strolling to, from, and along the beach; followed by a few miles of mild hiking on Sunday. A more demanding hike would've required a little ankle support, but big kudos on comfort level for these shoes, anyhow, because I may as well have been wearing some of the perfectly broken-in footwear I'd left behind at home.
Guiltless: We like to do right by the earth with our dollar whenever we can, so these shoes are a no-brainer for anyone else out there who wants to be eco-friendly, but still have all the form and function.

These shoes look great with almost any outfit. They're a fantastic everyday shoe. However, they don't have much cushion or arch support, so if you're like me and on your feet most of the day, I recommend getting some sole inserts.
