The Men’s D-Solve Shoe reflects Simple’s commitment to producing shoes that are sustainable through-and-through, yet also damn comfortable and good-looking. Materials include organic cotton uppers and laces, eco-certified suede, a pedbed of comfy polyurethane and recycled rubber, and a sole made of recycled rubber and EVA that’s been infused with a biodegradable additive that makes it biodegradable in a landfill (D-Solve, get it?). Then again, you may simply enjoy the D-Solve’s comfort and good looks as you tool about town on your bike.
Bottom Line: No bull—this shoe embodies ‘eco-friendly.’

Comfy but bogus workmanship

Agreed that this is a very comfortable shoe, but the workmanship is terrible. They started coming apart on the inside sides where the material meets the soul (both shoes) after about 2 weeks of wearing them. They were so cheap that it wasn't really worth sending them back. My advice, too good to be true. Don't buy.
Not durable enough for skateboarding. For everyday life, it kills it though.

Picked these up on sister-site Steep & Cheap for a great price so I was psyched. I usually wear a 10 1/2 and the 10 1/2 fit perfectly. Super-comfy shoe! However, after just over a month of wearing them only a couple times/week the left one developed a tear on the side of the shoe on the outside (See pic. The tear is just above where it says "biodegradeable). It's not from catching them on something or anything like that - it looks like the material just separated. What do you expect from a product made in China I guess (which was also disappointing considering Simple's environmentally aware message). Anyway, I decided to just keep them and wear them until they "biodegrade" under my feet since I got them so cheap. However, if you're paying regular price, buyer beware!

Comfy kickers to roll around town in. I normally where an 11.5 and these are a tad on the big at 11.5. Maybe size down a half size, but I can't say because I haven't tried on an 11.
