Simond designed the Spider Rockyfil Quickdraw to ensure fast, easy clipping on the most demanding sport and trad lines. The sling includes an internal rubber sheath to hold the rope-end wire-gate carabiner in place, so you never yard up an armful of slack to find you can't make a clip. A keylock gate on the bolt end helps with both clipping and cleaning on steep sport lines. Have you ever tried to clean a horizontal roof with regular gates? Pain in the butt, huh?
Bottom Line: Ready for the steep stuff.

The biners on this draw are rated at full strength, just go to Simond's web site (or read the specs here) to check it out. The poster who wrote they are only good for 7kN is not well informed. Maybe they thought open gate is the rated strength.

Has anyone used these, do you like them? They look like they would be great for sport climbing, it looks like the straight nose would make it really easy to clip the bolts.

I ordered these biners because I really like the nose design on the bolt end biner. I received then and noticed that the rope end biner was really wimpy I then did a little more research and found out that the rope end biener is only rated to 7kn, I read somewhere that the typical sport lead fall ranges between 2-5kn, I wasn't okay with the 7kn rating.
Change me.
