It may be a nice, peaceful day on the water, but beneath the surface, your wading boots are getting hammered by the constant flow of water and bits of rock and sand that get carried in the drift. So, it's really no surprise that you burn through boots the same way you burn through tippet and flies, especially if you're fishing in highly corrosive saltwater fisheries. When you finally get tired of burning through lesser wading boots, go ahead and step into the burly and dependable Simms OceanTek Wading Boots.
Simms pulled all the stops with these saltwater specific boots with a waterproof synthetic leather upper, full-wrap protective rand, and hard-wearing Vibram sole that will tread well whether you're chasing strippers in Montauk or hunting redfish off the coast of Texas. Simms used corrosion-resistant hardwear to combat rust, then laced the boots up with durable nylon laces to reduce wear and tear. Inside the OceanTek is a partial neoprene lining, along with a closed-cell foam for an extra bit of cushioning. The sole is also compatible with Hardbite star cleats, Alumibite cleats, and Hardbite studs when you need a little more bite from these boots.
