Because the best fishing isn't conveniently located.
The last thing you want to worry about when fighting that dream trout is whether or not your gear is dry and protected, so equip yourself with the Simms Dry Creek Roll-Top Backpack. Take it into the backcountry for some high-mountain fly fishing, or bring it along on your weekend float trip. Rock-solid welded construction bonds the highly durable TPU-coated fabric on a molecular level, keeping stitching to a minimum. The fully-proof fabric combines with a roll-top closure for complete watertightness that can even take a dunking.
Simms put years of research and field testing into the Dry Creek series—not that they didn't enjoy that testing—and the result is intuitive features like exterior stretch mesh water bottle pockets, mesh organization, and a front wet-storage compartment with laser-cut drainage holes. The Dry Creek's high-loft, closed-cell back panel, waist band, and shoulder harness offer ultimate comfort, even while humping your gear for miles in search of that elusive fish heaven.

It's Been Everywhere
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This bag has been on float trips, soggy camping trips, fly fishing treks, and even deep sea fishing. I love this bag and the ability to throw everything in there and not worry about it getting soaked. The wet storage compartment has come in handy too for wet clothes in the middle of trips. Keeps them from soaking everything else and lets them air dry a bit.
When I say I throw everything in there, I do mean everything. Know what you are getting, because this is a pretty big backpack. It's easily held all of my fishing supplies, a bluetooth speaker, extra layers of clothes, a group's worth of phones, a couple of beers, and more.
It's not so big that it's a problem, but you should know what you're buying.
If I could change one thing I would put more compartments or pockets inside, not a big deal but would make my life a little easier when my friends bury my stuff because they don't have a bag of their own.
Great bag, I'll continue to take it with me every time there's a chance of water.
Plenty of room and more for all day fun.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit: True to size
I gave this pack as a gift to my newly married fly partners and itâs great! Iâve been benefiting from it just as much as they have. The pack is large for sure but comes in handy when youâre rolling three deep and you have a long approach to the honey hole, make the man carry the gear and the beer the wife says. Weâve fit 3 rain jackets in this pack bordered the bottom with a 18 pack and still had enough room for all the fly boxes and a couple go proâs. The pack does have a couple exterior stretch mesh water bottle pockets but my friends use them as tube holders for their rods which they fit great in and the interior stretch mesh organizational pockets makes sure the keys and the little things stay put. Iâve been told this is very comfortable pack too and the adjustable straps help you dial in that comfort with a High loft, closed-cell foam back panels and a non-absorbent cushioned waistband and shoulder harness system makes it so you donât mind your carrying everybody elseâs gear. All these features are great but the thing that impresses me the most is the material, rugged ripstop and oxford fabrics, with double-sided TPU coating make this a waterproof pack and eases your mind cause you know nothing inside is getting wet.
