Description

Slightly less freestyle-freestyle.

The Signal Rocker Light Snowboard is just like the Signal Rocker, but it's on a bit of a rocker diet. Where the regular rocker deck rolls up 10 degrees at Stage Two of the Three-Stage Rocker, the Light only rolls up 5 degrees for a more stable feel and slightly better edge control. It still maintains a very playful, park-oriented feel, but the edges contact the snow earlier in your turn for more power in carves.

  • 3-stage rocker acts like a small board when ridden flat, crates a pivot point when transferring from the level area between the bindings, and acts a secondary contact point while carving for more edge control
  • Rocker profile is playful and forgiving while offering plenty of edge control and flotation in the powder
  • Standard Profile poplar core is tapered to reduce spin weight
  • Matte Nylon 8210 adds durability while maintaining a soft torsional flex
  • Durasurf sintered base is fast, durable, and easy to repair
  • A blend of triaxial and biaxial glass in the core for the ideal flex and durability without a ton of added weight
  • Carbon stringers from tip to tail for gobs of pop

This board is great. It can do it all. Easy to press on rails, but stiff enough to hit medium sized jumps. It holds extremely well for a rocker, and is really light. Not to mention the sick graphics.

I have been thinking about getting this board for a couple years and I was lucky enough to catch up with Signal last year and demo this board on a hardpack/icy day and again on an awesome powder day at my local resort. I loved it in both conditions and had a blast in the park! It is a very playful board and is super fun to butter on in the park and on the groomers and it floats better than a Lib Tech Banana board in the powder in my opinion.

I'm now a huge fan of the flat base and the rocker outside the bindings. I love this board soooo much I'm thinking about getting the Signal Rocker also for those super deep, strictly Pow days and using this one for every other day including powder days where I will hit some powder stashes and then head to the park!!!

If you have been considering getting one of these but have a strict rule that you have to ride before you buy then pick up this board and have a blast in any condition!

These guys at Signal make all kinds of weird board shapes and test them out, and the ones that get liked the most get made for the public to buy! These guys know how to build boards!
