I have used these bottles for several years. They are good for water and dry goods. I have put cigars in them, used them to brew tea and coffee (with bags), and a variety of other uses. I have taken them throughout Europe and Canada, not to mention the wilds of America. They last for years and are well worth the price!!

is this Sigg in the green touch BPA free?

It should be. Back when the BPA thing first came up a few years ago and everyone was abandoning their Nalgenes, Sigg came out and said "by the way, we're BPA-free and always have been." It then turned out that they weren't, and that their liners did have BPA in them, so they got in even more trouble than if they'd just kept their mouths shut. So after all that, it'd be a shockingly bad idea if they hadn't fixed that.

Leading me to believe that they have.

They are BPA free. The bottles Angus is referring to had tiny trace amounts of BPA in the liner but it was insignificant. They voluntarily recalled those bottles and replaced them with 100% non BPA lined bottles.
