style meets function

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have this mug and I love it. You can put it in a courier bag with your dissertation/art project/blueprints/you-name-it and, if the lid is screwed on tight, it doesn't leak.

It's a little slim so if you are spooning cappuccino foam into it, it requires a steady hand, but I love the way it fits in the hand while drinking. You can get a nice full-fingered wrap around the cylinder. Handles can be bulky and catch on things, but this mug fits into the oversized pocket of a jacket, which means you can take it anywhere, without having to carry a bag. And if you need a hands-free moment, just screw the lid on and slip it back into your pocket. Hell, you could even fit it in the back pocket of your jeans in a pinch!

This mug does have it's pro's and con's.

Keeps hots hot

Very sleek design (also falls into the con list due to the narrow base)

Bad design for a "travel" mug

Has a rubber nipple that can be removed from the lid to make a sipping lid, I've tried hot and cold beverages and was unable to get this to flow at all.

I think if the lid were to be redesigned just a tad, this would be a great travel mug replacement. Unfortunately for this mug, it is destined to sit in a small collection of mugs that just don't cut it.

Can I purchase replacement parts for this...

Can I purchase replacement parts for this thermos? I lost the little rubber piece (can I say nipple here?) that seals the top section from the metal portion. I tried SIGG with no response to an email.

Otherwise, highly recommended.
