Leave your dead and dying plastic coffee mugs in the cupboard and pour your delicious morning brew into the Swiss-made aluminum SIGG Metro Mug. SIGG's signature treatment process kills the lingering remnants of yesterday's coffee, leaving you with nothing but pure, unadulterated taste. This tough little mug gets you through the day without leaking, stinking, or dripping from the seals.

Bottom Line: Make the SIGG Metro Mug your new best carpool companion.

I've wanted one of these bad boys for a while and all my high expectations have been met. While the mug may be impractical for drinking while driving, it keeps my coffee warmer for longer than any other storage device I've used besides my burly Thermos. In terms of front country use, this thing kills it because I can put it in my backpack's water bottle holders without worrying about spilling while I walk/run/bike. Also, the metro mug being totally sealed is great for working at a computer (no risk of spills unless you leave it open) and kicking around at the climbing wall. No longer will I have those awful days where my entire travel mug gets kicked over and dumps all the precious fluid onto the ground leaving me in a state of shock and horror. As for backcountry use, the thing is totally lightweight and brings all the above benefits as well. Don't have time to finish your coffee before you hit the trail? Put it in your backpack and savor it on a water break. Killer. Oh yeah, it keeps stuff warm, too. Be careful with that. I didn't expect it to insulate so well, and have burned my tongue from scorching hot tea. Buy it and safeguard your caffeine supplementation!

Great, for the office; thus: metro.

This is a slick little monkey, perfect for slipping into a briefcase or bag without worrying that it will spill all over your "business papers" (read: magazines, iPod). If you are looking for a car-friendly travel mug, look elsewhere, as there is no grippy rubber handle or spill-resistant sipping mechanism involved; screw off the top and you have an open, insulated cup to drink from. That said, it keeps drinks hotter longer than any other vacuum mug I have used (Nissan, etc.) and is truly spill-proof when closed. Great if you come to work, sit down at your desk, and have your coffee. Bonus: looks classy. Extra Secret Bonus: has a hidden space in the cap to store a teabag, so you can carry hot water and brew your tea en situ.

It is metal, but it'll only burn your lip if the stuff in it is too hot anyway.

Recommend!

This is a good product that just flat out works. I use it primarily for coffee at work. It will keep my coffee warm for hours. My only complaint about this guy is that it dents very easily. It has a nice sleek design, but it loses its appeal if it gets dented up.

Sharp and hot

By:

This is a great thermos/mug for a medium size coffee. With the lid on tight it, kept my drink hot for almost 4+ hours (I'm not sure that's healthy tho -- bacteria et al.) The only draw back is the opening/mouth of the mug has a sharp edge, perfect for splitting lips. I wish it had a carrying accessory like a sleeve or a biner attachment. Anyway, it'll keep your venti-frappa-esspre-latte-chino center-of-the-sun-hot for a long time. I like it.

Metro Mug Rocks

This is the perfect commuter thermos. Works awesome for Tea or Coffee, but best for Soups as the wide mouth make it easy to chow down.
