I have just recently become exposed to the Zeta 3's, and may I say they are one of the best larger pack tents I have dealt with. The pole design threw my group and I for a loop the first time we used it, we almost took a half hour to set it up! The problem was that the poles are attached at 2 points permenantley, making a sort of H shape. Then the extra pole snaps onto the back of the H, creating a kinda tic-tac-toe pattern without the two bottom vertical poles sticking out. But once you get the hang of it, setup is a snap and you have shelter in no time flat. The resulting set-up makes for a wonderfully spacious interior, almost cube like in shape. The two doors are great, and the vestibule is huge! the fly door has two zippers so it can easily be rolled up, same with the rear door, which has one zipper. The tent is almost all mesh, allowing for refreshing breezes to come through on hot, muggy nights.

The new Tunnel Dome design gives you the freestanding ease of set up and large doors of dome tents with the steep walls, covered doors, and spacious interior of tunnel tents. Definitely the best of both worlds! This tent is perfect for tall guys. I'm 6'5", this tent is over 7' in length so my head and feet can stay nice distance from the walls of the tent. The 43 square feet of space in the tent and over 26 square feet of vestibule space give you a lot of livable space with head room and will keep you sane if your stuck in the tent for while. The unique, light weight and easy to use connections of the Jake's Foot corner, Swivel Hub and Ball Cap connection make the tent very solid and set up a cinch.

I agree with Erik, first time out of the bag the pole design was a bit confusing but once I figured it out, this tent goes up in minutes. Held up really well in a very windy, rainy storm in Moab. Stayed dry and unfazed by the wind.

I used this tent for a couple nights in Moab, UT and it was great. We showed up to our campsite at night and I had to set it up in the dark. I had never even taken it out of the sack until then (which you should always do before going on a trip! oops), but it still took me under 5 minutes to get it set up. It goes up easy, it's super roomy inside... what else could you want? Not the lightest tent out there, but for someone doing mostly car camping the zeta 3 is great. Plus the doors on both sides make it easier to make late night bathroom trips without disturbing your roommates.

set it up in the yard upon arrival. a little tricky at first, but the 2nd time around would be a piece of cake. rained hard. tent leaked. there was a pool about the size of a dinner plate right smack in the middle, and small line of water running from front to back under the seam. I know seam sealer is out there, but for this price, would expect to be waterproof out of the box. very disappointed and now have to go through process of return. loved how easily every thing clipped together, and everything really seemed quality. bummed about the leaking. still looking for a good 3 person tent

I will start of by saying that this tent is excellent. I own over tent high quality tents. Some worth as much as $400.00. I can say that after use in heavy rain, wind and light snow this tent is primo. It is very roomy with near vertical walls. Like all 3 man tents, it's a little tight if you do not want to snuggle too much. Color is great in too. Does not heat up the tent too much in the warm sun. This tent is worth the price and then some. Oh yeah, its a cake set up and sturdy as all heck. Cool clip and latch features.
