Sierra Designs put their knowhow to the test and made the three-person, three-season Velox 3 Tent at a weight of five pounds flat. Split between you and your two buddies, that's less weight than bivy sacks. This isn't some featureless single-wall tent either. The Velox 3 Tent includes double 9sq foot vestibules and two doors. Sierra Designs added plenty of internal pockets to keep your gear organized as well. You're going to have to dig pretty deep to come up with a reason not to bring this tent on your next ultralight trip.
Bottom Line: Three-person shelter with two-person weight.

The tent is super easy to set up and very light for how big it is. I usually use it for 2 people and there is plenty of room to put all the gear inside. Two doors work great with a lot of space under the fly outside the tent. I only used it for 3 people once - it's cozy, but not too tight (of course, backpack had to sleep outside, under the fly). I even used it for winter camping and only had very little condensation on the single wall side, but it didn't drip down, it was very minimal.
