You may think that the Velox 2 Tent's 4lb 2oz weight is pretty impressive given that it has double doors and vestibules, but it's just another example of Sierra Designs' dedication to performance. Not willing to sacrifice anything, Sierra Designs used DAC Featherlite poles and a 40D SilNylon fly material to shave ounces without reducing living space. The Velox 2 Tent also includes color-coded tie-out points that match the fly, so you can set it up in seconds and get out of the wet weather.
Bottom Line: Cut weight, not features.

Great tent. Nice and light, tons of ventilation, good and long (I'm 6'1" and have enough room). Going to be moderately snuggly for a two person (Going up to the Velox 3 is ridiculously more room with not too much more weight) I bought it to fit myself and my girlfriend in the tent with the dog in the vestibule, but it's still realistically sized for a solo trek.

I bought this for my two teenage sons to share on backpacking trips. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the Velox 3 to give them a little more room inside. The Velox 2 is quite tight. But the design is great, with doors and vestibules on both sides, and the quality of construction is very high. It sets up easily and the optional footprint (highly recommended) keeps the floor nice and dry. Just go with the larger size if the two campers are anything other than tiny.
