Really like it - main use running

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am delighted with this jacket, I like a little extra space and purchased an xl. I find it true to size. Had a great pocket at chest for Ipod. Light weight and warm. Nice zippers that are smooth. I find at times this type of collar pokes at my chin, this one did not. Very pleased.

Versatile, packable, comfortable!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got this jacket about a month ago and have been wearing it all of the time. I work outdoors and it's great as a wind layer for cool mornings. I've also brought it camping/hiking in Sequoia and Yosemite and it was great for hiking and squishing it into my pack later in the day. The cuffs, collar, and pockets are nice and soft, and the placement of the seams and zippers doesn't interfere with movement at all. I'm 5'6", 140 and it was a toss up between the small and medium - I went with a medium and can easily fit a sweater or sweatshirt under it, but you could go with the small if you're wearing lighter layers under, it's a pretty roomy fit.

lightweight and packable

  • Gender: Male

Took this on a 5 day backpacking trip along the S Fork of the Kaweah River, Sequoia NP in late Sept.
90 degrees during the day; 60s in the evening. Couldn't even tell this thin, lightweight jacket was in the pack and it never came out.
Construction looks solid. If it works as advertised, I'm a happy camper. Got the black version for under $40(good for camping!)
Consider getting the hooded version if you are most interested in the jacket's water repellent quality.

Good Buy!

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

this softshell is great! lightweight jacket good for cool evenings in the summer but can also be layered with other things and used for fall and winter (at least where i'm from in VA). it's water resistant but looks nicer than an actual rain jacket. It's the most versatile jacket I own. I wear when I go hiking and the fit is flattering so I also wear it out in the evenings if i'm going somewhere casual. I'm 5'3, 125lbs, 34C and I ordered a small...fits great.

This says it has two hand pockets and one chest. Does the one chest refer to an inside pocket I'm not seeing?
