The Sierra Designs Vapor Light Tent cuts the pounds without sacrificing on the quality. This double-wall tent doesn't skimp on necessities like 25 square feet of internal space and an additional eight square feet of vestibule storage. And weighing about one and a half pounds per person, this lightweight rambler is as efficient as it is comfortable.
- Waterproof fly and floor fabric features fully taped, PVC-free seams for added protection from rainstorms and soggy weather
- Superseal floor tech combines the benefits of catenary and bathtub floors by featuring both raised and taped seams for a tighter pitch and better protection
- DAC NSL Featherlite poles are made with less phosphoric and nitric acid for a greener tent pole, and they feature a wider diameter with a thinner wall to add strength and save weight
- Jake's Foot pole attachment utilizes a ball and socket design to keep the pole end in place during setup and easily pops out for take-down
- Mesh wall panels increase airflow to decrease condensation and stuffiness
- Internal storage pockets keep your flashlight, maps, and trail wares accessible
- Gear-loft loops enable you to hang your headlamp when it gets dark
- Fast-pitch compatible; just carry the poles, fly, and footprint to save weight
- Footprint available separately
Bottom Line: Lightweight tent that doesn't sacrifice comfort.

Great 1-Person Tent

I love this tent, but only as a one-person tent. I recently used it as a solo on a 12-day self support Grand Canyon kayak trip. Someone told me, "Wow! That's a big one-person tent." When I told her it was a two-person tent, she said, "Oh. That's a small two-person tent."
It sets up very quickly and is taut once staked out. I didn't ever notice the fly touching the tent body. There's plenty of headroom and the vestibule is adequate. While the hubbed pole system makes setup a breeze, it also adds to the bulk of the poles once they're folded up. I also wish it were a little longer. I'm 5'11" and found that at any give time either the hood or the foot of my sleeping bag was touching the tent walls. I borrowed this tent for the trip, but I think I would get the XL version if I were to buy one. The fact that it's free-standing is nice. I never had trouble staking it out in the Grand Canyon, but it was nice having a free-standing tent that I could pick up and shake the sand out of.
Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a roomy one-person tent or who doesn't mind getting cozy with someone else in a small tent.
The picture I've included is from mile 144 in the Grand Canyon.
Change me.

Perfect for us
My wife and I fit snugly but nicely in this tent even with her gigantic air mattress of a sleeping pad. We're about 5'8" and fit perfectly more...
lightweight tent
Great tent for the right use. Just enough room for two sleeping pads and a few knickknacks. The vestibule is big enough for boots and things but not really more...
