Toaster Insulated Jacket - Women's

Sierra Designs gives you waterproof, breathable insulation at a ridiculously low price with the Women's Toaster Jacket. 100 grams of Thermolite insulation in the body and 70 grams in the sleeves keeps you as snug as a bug in a rug, even on the chilliest days. Waterproof zippers block out Mother Nature where other jackets fall short, and the helmet compatible, fully adjustable hood gives you a comfortable fit even when you're doing something that requires a helmet, like roller derby, jai alai, or polo.

Bottom Line: Just the first winter sports that come to mind.

Hi, I am intested in this jacket but I live in New Zeland so I want to make sure it is the right fit. Is the measurements on the sizing chart true to what the fitting is like? In measurements I am a M but would it be worth getting a large?

Good jacket to grab while on sale.

Nice jacket for the price. Pretty warm, water and windproof (a bit noisy though, but not too much). Hood and pockets lined with soft fabric. It does run big though (could be the brand thing? My SD rain jacket runs big too). I usually wear medium in other brands for heavy weight fleece layer underneath, or small for a slimmer fit with lighter layers. I can wear this jacket in XS with a cotton fleece hoodie underneath. It's also cut straight, tighter around the hips, roomy around the waist. But when it's on, it looks pretty darn good, if you don't size up too much. I'm 5'7" and about 140 lbs, size 8 in bottoms and S in tops. One annoying thing about this jacket is the stiff zipper. You have to keep it unzipped down to the collar bone if you don't want the top of the zipper to curl and dig into your chin/neck.

Perfect for 30F weather or layering

Jacket runs a wee bit on the large size, but that's good if you're layering. Sleeves a little long, which is good too for those with longer arms or for keeping hands warm inside sleeves. Perfect for autumn or early winter, when it's in the 30s. I got it for skiing, so with a fleece jacket inside, it's ready for the slopes.

Great jacket for price

For the price this is a pretty cool jacket. I love the colors, it is warm, the pit zips are key. It is NOT fitted in any flattering way. It is cut like a box. When wearing it you don't notice this so much and I have been complimented on the jacket several times. It's only if you hold your arms out to the side that you can see the box shape. Of course, we don't ski like this. All in all, I'm very pleased with the jacket and I would recommend it.
