Pack up your Sierra Designs Stretch Dome 3-Person Tent when your alpine endeavors take you above the tree line throughout the four seasons. The Sierra Designs Stretch Dome Tent takes its abuse on the chin. This veritable bomb shelter's testing grounds include ascents on Denali. Sierra Designs packed this double wall tent with DAC poles to keep weight at a minimum yet Sierra Designs Quick Clip pitch system gets your home away from up accessible in a jiffy. To keep the Stretch Dome in action season after season, Sierra Designs coated the burly 70 Denier fabric with tent guard to keep mold and mildew at bay—even when you pack your tent when it's wet.

Bottom Line: Pack the Sierra Designs Stretch Dome Tent if you're anticipating hairy conditions.

Don't Leave Home Without It

This tent is bomb proof! High winds, snow loads, whatever mother nature throughs your way this baby can handle it. I use it strictly in winter here in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, and love the way it performs. It helps trap in lots of heat to make it a comfertable home on the mountain. The tent is relatively light for such a heavy duty mountaineering shelter, and if the weather isn't going to be the worst you can leave the "Jake's Corners" at home to save about a pound or so. The tent is big enough for three, but I prefer it for two. The vestibules aren't as large as some other mountaineering tents on the market, but they are adequate. Bottom line... If it is winter, and I am heading into the mountains... I don't leave home without this tent!
