Description

Enjoy a light summer rain without getting soaked.

The Storm Poncho from Sierra Designs keeps you covered when the rains come. Pull this poncho out of its zippered storage bag, throw it over you and your pack, and keep the rain off. The adjustable hood lets you get a perfect fit even if you are wearing a helmet, and the fully taped seams, snap-up sides, and DWR coating encourage the rain drops to slide right off. Use the corner grommets to stake your poncho down for a lightweight shelter when you stop for a lunch break.

Could I wear this poncho with backpack that has capacity over 50ℓ?

It would look funny and you would lose leg coverage. There are ponchos designed by other companies that will cover you and a pack without issue.

Want to buy this to work outside in, will it get in the way? I will be doing grounds/greenskeeper maintanance, I want something a little better than a cheap plastic emergency coat.

Deb - it depends on your duties. This will be longer and more bulky than a standard jacket because it is not fitted.

I ride cross country on my horses and I often need to put my poncho on while moving along the trail. It is nice to leave my helmet on while pulling my poncho over me.

We wear these ponchos with helmets! My husband and I ride enduro dirt bikes (motorized, not those with pedals), and these ponchos are great to cover the entire riding gear such as helmets, body armour, hydration packs with stuff in them, and the critical part of the bike where electrical stuff is. Storms here in AZ are short but very intense. Just pull over for 15 minutes, cover yourself up, and let it blow by.
These ponchos are the solution. One more thing: if you are tall, buy Large so you can cover tops of your motocross boots to keep water from leaking off the poncho down into the boots.
