With a classic dome design, low weight, and spacious dimensions, the Sierra Designs Sirius 3 Tent is an obvious choice for car camping and backpacking. The double doors and vestibules provide easy entry and gear storage, and the Swift Clips and Swivel Hub poles make for speedy setup.
Bottom Line: A classic three-person tent for all-around use.

Been using this one for a couple of years, and it finally got a REAL test in the Grand Canyon. We got rain, snow, hail, wind, and then more rain in a 24 hr period. There were rivulets of running water underneath the tent fabric, but it was bone dry inside.
As with ALL tents, a 3 person designation means 2 adults will fit, and that's how I use this tent. Try to put 3 small adults in here overnight, and you will learn the meaning of suffering. But again, that is EVERY tent manufacturer, not just Sierra Designs.
One possible issue: This tent gets a lot of airflow, which means little to no condensation. However, on a colder night with a good breeze, you should have a warm sleeping bag & pad. Great feature in the warm months, something to think about in the cold weather.
