Description

Adapt to changing conditions.

Seasoned backpackers are well aware of how difficult it can be to predict mountain weather; temperatures can drastically rise and drop within hours. With the Sierra Designs Pyro Maniac 15/30 Sleeping Bag, you'll have the ability to adapt to temperature swings. In addition to the Core Comfort Technology's strategically positioned 600-fill goose down, you can simply add or remove a down torso panel to adjust your sleeping temperature.

  • With an EN lower limit of 11/19F (lower limit refers to the average man's comfort zone), this bag can adapt quickly to temperature changes in the mountains
  • 600-fill goose down insulation is lofty, warm, and highly compressible
  • Polyester Micro-Ripstop shell fabric is lightweight and durable
  • Dual Temp Technology allows you to add or remove the additional down torso panel to best suit conditions
  • Core Comfort Technology utilizes a double baffle system and body mapping to place additional down where you need it most
  • Snag-free zipper tracks eliminate annoying stuck zippers
  • Draft tube along the 60-inch zipper prevents warm air from escaping
  • Drawcord at the collar provides a snug-fitting hood and traps in warm air
  • Draft collar seals around your chest and torso to prevent warm air from escaping
  • Ergonomic hood and footbox are shaped to comfortably accommodate your head and feet
  • Pillow pocket keeps your cushion in place
  • At just under 3 pounds, the Pyro Maniac won't weigh you down when you're on the trail
  • Packs into an included 7-inch by 17-inch stuff sack

Versatile, but lacking when really cold

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I loved the versatility of the insertable baffle; it added a large degree of warmth and hardly any weight or bulk. Albeit, we wouldn't recommend it for the harshest of climates, but it's also not what it's designed for. A great buy for those who want the utility of two bags but only have the pack space or cash to splash on two. See the full review at adventuregearreviews.com
