Save weight in your pack and save time at setup with the Sierra Designs LT Strike 2 Tent. Sierra Designs built the LT Strike 2 for world -travelers and long-distance backpackers, for whom every ounce counts. Super-lightweight textiles and DAC Featherlight poles (which have lowest weight-to-strength ratio available in tent poles) conspire to lighten your load on a long haul. Sierra Designs’ proprietary Jake’s Foot feature makes set-up and tear-down a breeze, and allows for easy attachment of the tent fly and footprint. SuperSeal floor features a raised, perimeter taped with PVC-free tape to keep you and your gear bone-dry. On clear nights, take down the fly and enjoy unparalleled stargazing through the all-mesh body of the tent.

Bottom Line: How have they packed all this performance into a 3.5-pound tent?

I sprayed it with the hose for a long time & it sheds water nicely. Not so good under a snow load (see recent review) but water is ok.

Great, it is factory seam sealed and utilizes a 3000mm water proof coatings on all of the nylon.

I sent this tent back because it can't stand up without being staked out--the poles only plug in to two corners. Not idea if you are camping in the sierra (ironically) on rock or shallow sand.

If you need a long light weight tent, check out the Vapor 2XL. I'm 6'5" and fit great in it (93" long):
